are you sure? I had my guy killed by a big mine on enner level and he was at full HP's (luckily he was wearing an AOLS) does the extra +1 make that much of a difference?

Yep, antidote liquid rocks. Hard to come by though. If I don't have any, I just desperately try to run to the priestess. Every time I lose a limb or two, just drink some healing fluid to get it back

If you have +6 fire resistance you don't need to worry about the minefield anyway.

That almost screwed me over. Also ran into Guugzamesh and used up my wands of teleport. Went away, enchanted & hardened equipment, returned, and pwnd him 
PS - we are sticking with Mellis! You can pray to Loricatus / Silva as well, but don't go for any lawful or chaotic gods.

One wand of mirroring with 3 charges inside chest (saving for a scroll of charging)

Alright.
Just entered GC2. I spent quite a bit of time on GC1 (almost 2 game days), so you should be more than ready for GC2. I see a wand of mirroring... it took a lot of effort not to go out and grab it.

LStr (got up to 12 naturally, went back to 11 after vomiting)

Not Satiated and no food, so be careful. If you are desperate for food, pray to Mellis. I have at least 4 empty cans. I just prayed to him though, so wait a few hours.
Got a pickaxe, and ring of poison resistance.
