Thanks guys. Sometimes I'm too resistant to change and need others to push for changes like this but I definitely felt uncomfortable with this one.

It's been a long time but I recall discovering it by accident with blink dogs. It's definitely a memorable "aha!" moment for anyone who figures it out. But I agree that after you do figure it out it's easy to repeat.

I'm not really sure what the answer is though. The game is so well balanced that it's hard to expand upon.

Even when trying to get permanent ESP I've rarely been able to without a wand of cloning. And in that case, 3 corpses vs 5 is just an extra charge and not much more difficult. (On the other hand 3 probably IS doable without a wand and 5 is not)

fejoa, that's a good point. Telecontrol is particularly useful in GC because of the mystic dark frogs and mages

I still think it's too high. I think we sometimes lose perspective. Maybe it's easy for us but for someone who's new to IVAN, in the past permanent telecontrol is something they could have discovered on their own. Now it's pretty much impossible that they'd discover it without reading the forum/wiki

As a fix I would suggest strengths of 50 and 15.

Would that fix increase or decrease the number you have to eat?

I feel like having to eat 15 blinking dog corpses kind of makes it impossible to ever attain the permanent status. How would you be able to keep all that food down?

Just a thought but maybe have that cloak only available in a certain dungeon where there are more monsters (or just a ton of ghosts)?
Then after they leave the area the cloak disappears or is lost or dissolves in the sunlight or something

It definitely shouldn't be instant.

Also, to be realistic, if they are in water that goes above the waist, the player should unequip their weapons while swimming, and hand/foot combat attacks should be much weaker.

I like the thought of having a narrow tunnel to swim through. It leads to an area with some nice valuables, but will you risk getting grabbed by a shark on the way there? Can you distract the shark by throwing some meat at the opposite end of the pool?

If you go to the Downloads page, and click on the version number (v0506, etc.) it will take you to the GitHub release and each release has a changelog with it.

I love it!

I think that rivers are where IVAN's block graphics style fall a little short.. I wish there were a way to make the edge of the river smoother. Not requesting that right now, just wishful thinking.

That's rough.

Yeah the other guy I figured was screwed. I didn't even realize his legs were still burning. I think the body map on the top right should indicate if something is on fire more visibly. Doesn't have to be animated flames, but I was thinking maybe pulsing orange? And then after the flames have gone out, another indicator to show that it's burnt. I'm not sure which of Beebelbrod's legs is burnt

Also I think it'd be good to have some kind of salve or ointment that you could use to heal burns. Maybe not fully, but 90% healed

Would also be good to have someone in at least one of the towns who can heal them, like the priestess heals leprosy.

Is it possible to heal burned limbs?

I have one character who is stressed because one leg is burned so badly

Another who is stuck in the world map because both legs have been rendered useless
