People who are smart enough should move to step out of mustard gas as well.

This seems like a good solution. Isn't there a tag you can just put on the mustard gas material to stop creatures above a certain intelligence stepping in it, much like there is one for consuming dangerous items?

Mustard gas hostility bug (this is a darned tricky one)
Any suggestions?

This one isn't much of a problem outside of LIVAN because mustard gas is nowhere near as powerful in CVS.
I'd be inclined to leave it in, as along with that you're unlikely to find enough mustard gas grenades in a single playthrough to make the mustard gas exploit viable.

Those guards are all invisible anyway huh? So the player shouldn't even be meddling round taming those guys in the first place.
Well yeah, but the player also shouldn't be kicking items out of the library or turning large chests into ommel cerumen.
It's only going to be done by people specifically looking to exploit it.

And another vote for fixing the listed exploits, if we're counting.

Yes indeed, both the alcohol types will confuse any monster so long as it doesn't have a confuse-immune tag.
You can also dip your weapons in them if you want, but it isn't much different from just hucking a bottle at them except for the fact it rules out the chance the bottle misses or doesn't break.

It is particularly effective against Genetrix because she will summarily destroy all her guardian plants. The only problem being you're unlikely to find a bottle of alcohol before then unless you're playing unpatched IVAN CVS.

Wait wait wait.
You are saying IVAN actually has the capacity to make the game easier for you?!

My life is a lie.

Is there any chance this could be ported to any other streaming site, or is whatever you're using restricted to Twitch?
Twitch enforced some stupid 20-30 second lag not so long ago, although it does not really matter for IVAN considering it's turn based.

Also, Azba there because thankfully no one else in the world calls themselves this

Yeah, unfortunately you can't shield bash (if you could I'd expect it to act like a stronger kick) but since weapons become better at blocking attacks than shields in the long run when you've levelled your affinity for them, you basically have an offensive shield in the form of whatever weapons you're using toward the endgame.
Of course, earlier on shields are definitely better at blocking, but at the same time you're giving up a chance to fit in two attacks for free.

Also quoi leprosy, it's another good reason to wear whatever armor you can to cover all bodyparts. Leprosy transmits better through an attack on an uncovered limb - hence why you're more likely to notice it on the way through UT and not GC. If you are struck with leprosy, options are to run (or roll) to the nearest healer (priestess/priest), drink an antidote potion, or pray to mellis with empty bottles and hope you get an antidote.

On that note and that of this thread, I wonder if hitting an enemy with zombie parts can transmit leprosy? Or if that's only transmitted naturally by bite, like poison.
Tomorrow I am going to look into seeing if I can jury-rig in some "daggers of parasites/leprosy"

kicking and wands? I wonder if it is possible.

IIRC a while ago someone looked into a "kicking only" run and it turns out kicks are too weak for the later game, not to mention really slow.
You'd be relying on your wands a lot.

I am not entirely sure highly enchanted boots of kicking would help either.

I am impressed you put time and effort into making a nice gif for us!
And also... that method is going to be somewhat of a problem with certain IVAN versions whose wands of slow actually haste enemies...

Oh but you have come across the waterballoons! Just look at your guy's gear in that image - it's completely soaked in assassin juice!
Of course that doesn't matter if you're using cloth armors but it really sucks when I try using say, chainmail or metal boots and have them rust right off my person.
