I'm pretty proud of this one

I had no method of teleportation, no healing fluids (had drunk them all when I was very hungry and desperate), no wands to attack him or protect myself with. He had severed off my left arm. No gods that I was in favor with except Dulcis.

Fortunately I was in the big mine room and had been carefully searching every tile. So I led him to a certain one...

Quote
The werewolf steps on an active big mine.
The right arm of the werewolf catches fire!
The left arm of the werewolf catches fire!
The right leg of the werewolf catches fire!
The left leg of the werewolf catches fire!
The werewolf panics.
His right leg is severed off!
His left leg is severed off!
His head is severed off!
The werewolf looks slower!
The werewolf is blasted by the explosion!
The werewolf dies without a sound.
Something explodes!
The active land mine on the floor explodes!
The troll hide armor covered with blood catches fire!
The elven cloth glove of dexterity +2 catches fire!
The elven cloth boot of agility +3 catches fire!
The elven cloth boot of agility covered with blood +3 catches fire!
The runed elven cloth whip covered with blood +2 catches fire!
The elven cloth glove of dexterity covered with blood +2 catches fire!
You are blasted by the explosion!
You die.
But wait! Your amulet of life saving glows briefly red and disappears and you seem to be in a better shape!
You feel the Afterlife is welcoming you once again.

In hindsight I could have just stepped on it myself, then I truly would have been a veteran kamikaze human

His scrolls were destroyed in the explosions but at least I live to fight another day!

And yeah for some reason the whip, gloves, and boots I found were all elven cloth!

Beatiful. Well done, man. I'm not sure but you can get beheaded by the explosion I think, just like the werewold was, so it could've gone wrong. Still, it's a good option to go for as a last resort.

Thanks Yeah I didn't even think about that but you're definitely right!

Usually AoLS doesn't do me much good because I'm meleeing somebody who is way stronger, and after I'm resurrected I'm not in much of a better place.

Next time I face somebody like that maybe applying a wand of fireballs could do the trick
