Sophos whispers an ancient secret to you

I was just on my regular praying schedule when I prayed to Sophos and got this message: "Sophos whispers an ancient secret to you". Does this have any effect or is just a fancy way of saying Sophos just completely ignored me? Also, this made me think that praying to Sophos could be have more interesting results than only teleporting you randomly. Given that he's the god of magic and knowledge, it would be cool to get more varied effects from him, maybe on top of the teleportation since it cannot be controlled and is not abusable, but is an almost reliable life saver in dire situations (sometimes not, since teleporting you randomly can mean even more danger).
