Wish by a mile. I usually wait until I get to a breakpoint in the game (like clearing down to gc4) before I use a wish though. Let's me see what I have and what I need.
also I usually rub lamps in attnam, if the genie comes out hostile you will almost not be strong enough to fight him early on. The guard in town will attack the hostile genie right away. They will ninja his loot though.
