sorry, didnt have time to post screenshots. I killed merka and enner, and everything from gc5 and up. Went back and cleaned out new attnam. tried to ressurect Decos to see if he would be tame, but he is still hostile, killed him again and ate his corpse. yummmmmmmmm. stats are kind of average, all hoverin in the low 20's , 74 HP wearing mithril plate, helm o understanfing , guants of str and boots of agi belt o lev, and cloak of fire all +5 or higher. No amulets of LS or ESP have been generated. wielding a +7 whip o thievery and a +8 flaming admantium sword.

I have a big mine, a pile of wands, and 3 scrollls of charging. I have a lamp that i think has a wish, I am going to try tonight and if it does will clone the bejeesus out of the big mine and try and take petrus out that way.

question which would do more damage? an exploding wand of fireballs, a regualr mine, a regular backpack, an exploding wand of lightning, or an exploding wand of striking?

are 8 big mines, a big backpack and pile of regular backpacks and like 4 fireball 4 lightning and 2 wands of striking a big enough pile to take out petrus?

Oddly I've been looking at the problem of how fire damage is dealt in an explosion. Each explosion splits the total damage into a fire damage part and a physical damage part. I have found that fire damage from a big mine is around 93, so physical damage should also be around 93. The big mine puts in the biggest hit, beaten only by a blast from a veteran kamikaze dwarf at 112 physical/fire damage. Not sure how much an applied backpack does, maybe around 74.
I presume any character with fire resistance as an intrinsic, will receive less fire damage.
