I've been playing for a long time and i still don't understand them. Usually when i get to CC2 all of the gods hate me, how does this happen? Is there a way to make them like me? (Them as in, if im evil or good side)

Pick a god. Only pray to that god and the two gods on either side (alignment wise -- i.e. if you pick Loricatus only pray to Loricatus, Silva, and Mellis). Pray often, but never more than once ever 3 hours. If you do that... you shouldn't have problems with those specific gods, and if you ignore the rest then they don't really matter.

Yes, everything Atomic said. Just pick 1 and maybe the two neighboring. Just pray every 4 hours or so. It's worse to pray too often than too rarely I think. Praying and reading their books are the best way to gain favor. Reading books helps a lot if you have a lot of copies (through cloning or just finding them)

Far, far, far, far, FAR worse. Failing to pray in time causes you to lose a little favor as time passes. Praying too early not only causes you to lose a large amount of favor, but you also gain anger, regardless of whether the god helps you or not. Anger takes a long, long time and a lot of work to get rid of, and praying while a god is angered almost invariably results in a negative reaction and MORE anger.

If you manage to anger the gods, I believe theres a 36 hour period before you can pray again without agitating the gods even further. Also, as your wisdom improves along the game, you gain more favour with the gods every time you pray, meaning that you can start praying to more gods. AFAIK it should be possible to pray to AT LEAST 5 gods a game, as long as they are next to each other. Take for example that you are praying to Mellis; this means that every time you pray to him you gain favour with him and the 2 gods aligned next to him(Loricatus and Silva). You won't lose favour with cleptia or sophos, so its also possible to pray to them, but only if you have high enough wisdom (recommend at least 30 or so) so that the favour you get from praying to sophos and cleptia dont cancel each other out, in which case they would end up hating you. If you get your wisdom high enough through SCITalking and then getting it ridiculously high through dolphins im pretty sure you could pray to at least all the lawful or evil gods and then the neutral ones.

Anyways, hope this post was at least somewhat helpful and sorry for the mess, quite tired at the moment

Perhaps I am misunderstanding you but it seems like you think you can pray to all the neutral gods plus a go that matches your alignment (eg legifer if you were very lawful). If so then this is wrong.

I'm pretty sure I posted a pretty detail post about gods in here somewhere but maybe its in the old forum.

But basically depending on which set of gods you pick you should be able to pray to 6 or 7 gods no problem if you balance it right. Eg. Mellis, Loricatus, Silva, Sophos, Dulcis, Seges (6), or Loricatus - Legifer and Atavus (7). Balance is the key. Every god you pray to upsets gods that are more than 2 alignment units away. So in the first example (Mellis-Seges) Silva is the center, praying to her has no effect on Seges/dulcis or mellis but praying to mellis pleases mellis and loses favor with Seges/dulcis and viceversa but this favor lost is mitigated by the favor gained. If you pray to seges/dulcis every time you will eventually piss mellis off because it is one god vs 2 but you can accommodate for this by also offering items to mellis or reading his books. Also don;t forget you can check what a god thinks of you safely by offering a useless item like say a lantern. If you piss a god off then just don;t pray to him/her for 24 hours and then offer stuff at the alter to make sure its safe to pray again.

I don't have it with me right now so I can't tell you exactly, but you have to run MIHAIL through the command prompt, you can't just double click it. When you run it without arguments it should exit and tell you which arguments it requires
