Intelligence (Int) is one of the character attributes.
Effects
Having a higher intelligence enables you to:
- Change items into stronger materials
- “See” greater distances with ESP
- Control teleport to greater distances when you have Telecontrol
- Read scrolls faster, which can be crucial for scrolls of teleport if you need to escape a bad situation quickly.
Training
The following actions will train your intelligence:
- Science Talking (+1000xp * modifier dependant on character talked to)
- Eating Ommel Cerumen (+500xp * amount)
- Eating Ommel Bone (+500xp * amount)
- Using the (g)o command (variable)
- Reading a scroll of wishing (+600xp)
- Reading a scroll of change material (+500xp)
- Reading any other scroll (+300xp)
- Reading a scroll of detect material without the desired material existing on the floor (+200xp)
- Reading a scroll of teleportation (+150xp)
- Teleporting (+100xp)
- Reading a holy book or book of the pantheon (+75xp)
- Eating the holy banana of oily orpiv (+1xp * amount)
The following actions will abuse your intelligence:
- Eating a frog (-amount / 5 xp)
- Reading a scroll of detect material and hurting your brain (-100xp)
- Receiving a concussion (-100xp)
- Having your memory scrambled (-80xp)
