Books of *god* are books, that open a channel from PC to the god the book is about by teaching you the magical rites conserning that god. After you've read the book, you can pray to the god. Effect is similar as to walking to an altar. Books come in three different colours; blue for lawful, yellow for neutral and red for chaotic. Each time you read a book, your alignment shifts towards the faction of the book. Reading books and scrolls also increase your wisdom. It might also make the god a bit frendlier towards you, though the effect is not as radical as offerings have. After you've read the book enough, it disapears.
