Magpies have a dubious reputation for stealing various things, and this is reflected in IVAN. Giant magpies are their representatives in IVAN; they are greedy birds that can be found almost anywhere.

They will steal one of your [[items ]] on contact, attack and then fly away. They are fast, so its it's easy to lose sight of them. The item they steal is usually one that shines, such as - a [[Rings|ring]], [[Wands|wand]], [[Valuables|valuable ]] stone, and some metallicor any metal/gemstone gear (such as those made from mithril or ruby).

However, they are weak and easy to kill when cornered. Also - note that the Giant Magpies cannot open doors. If you corner it against a door, it won't be able to escape. If you or chase it into a room and close the door, the same appliesit won't be able to escape. That is, of course, until another creature opens the door.
