Maybe with a ring or wand of polymorph you could transform into something powerful, but those are hard to find on early levels

the other day i tried to use a banana as a weapon and i discover that bananas actually count as blunt weapons. Sadly, even tho the banana was pretty decent at taking out small enemies i couldn't defeat the first boss.....AND WELL, that gave an idea, in IVAN you can still do damage even if you aren't using any weapons sooooo, i wonder, how far can you get in the game without any real weapons.
I tried a couple of times using the rule of "no weapons"(wands and other items were allowed) and i couldn't get pass the first boss. My best attemp was with a wand of acid rain, it was affective against the boss but the other carnivours plants survived somehow and....i got killed by then

So, as the title says, is possible to play the game that way using the right strategy?

Is probably better that way. But still, special interactions like trying to your "banana" in a beartrap should stay just for the sake of comedy.


One last thing i would like to add is that one the reasons i started playing IVAN was beacause of his focus on comedy, hell i remenber the first i played the game i lost both legs and later i got killed by a hedgehog.
Even if this feature is not added(and most probably will not) i just want to encourage the development of similar features that would add up to the comedy side of the game and/or keep making the game more ridiculous.
