Loricatus can harden ANY item in your hands - this means you can cleverly (with some luck) use Loricatus to act as free harden material for your armors too, not just weapons.

I guess the issue is perhaps more of monotonous and/or RNG-based INT training to get the armor to a material you desire.

how useful liquid darkness is, as my guess is that they are coated with liquid darkness in a matter similar to daggers of venom, but it is just a guess.

Not to mention the mundane issue of weapon proficiency - axes are rather boring in terms of magical effects and artifacts, compared to many other things, so it's unlikely you'll be skilled in axes by the time you get them.

Are there important foes (ie elpuri) that are not gas-immune? It would be fun to kill the mighty dark frog with a single sleeping gas grenade and an amulet of magic breath.

I feel like having "traps" by the devs is really poor game design. It just encourages "ascension gear" more, unless you're a masochist.

I personally think a "meathead" run should be entirely possible without cheesing.

You can also refill empty cans by praying to Mellis.

An idea on spell-learning: reading scrolls that are similar to spells (i.e. teleport, immolation, taming(?)) should eventually grant you the ability to use that spell yourself (the time it takes would depend on Int, maybe Wis and/or Mana); unsure as to what hotkey you would use for the spells tab, though.

Fun fact: you can tame the black market's guards. Since they're neutral by default, it's a great way of getting a master necromancer companion, or a strong golem without sacrificing an item.

Is there any way to prevent a siren from putting you to sleep? I'd say out of everything that's killed me, that's the most annoying. BESIDES JUST STANDING AWAY FROM IT

Black market can be accessed after reading a map of black market. I have no idea why it won't appear when you reveal the map in wizmode, so I will check and try to fix it, but in the meantime try wishing for the map.

I feel like getting that map could be a high-level reward for Mellis.
