BTW, I would be careful with nerfing mind worms too much:

* They are extremely fragile and slow, so you will kill them immediately when you find them.

* They are cowardly and will try to run away from you, so if you're attacked and don't want to deal with them, just head back and they will not pursue.

* Tin helmets.

If anything, we could do something with the HP threshold for their generation.


I think they can both be hatched from someone's head, or (very rarely) generated. They are weaker and cannot infect you with mind worm eggs.

How long do you take to finish UT? If you're playing too slowly and have too much HP, you will happen upon much more difficult monsters in early GC.

BTW, mind worms were already in 0.50, just not generated. Original devs "borrowed" them from from some sci-fi, I think.

You got unlucky with being critted, your armor doesn't really matter. Every golem made of good material can end a run, because their crits are very strong. Have you ever tried fighting a valpuirum golem? It does not really matter that psypher is stronger than valpurium, as crits from a valpurium golem will end you just as surely as from a psypher golem. That's why you kite golems.

BTW, that probably has nothing to do with the angel's items, and waiting them out will not help, unfortunately. It is an obscure bug that sometimes happens when the player character tries to leave an area, but rather than being removed from the area and added to the new area, the player is duplicated in memory and present in both areas at once. And the game will then crash.

People tried to hunt it down, but no luck so far, I think.
