It seems acid only dissolves walls, furniture and worn items. Dropped items are not affected.

I cursed when the god didn't heal me. I'm sure I will have an 80% chance to Rest In Pain if I just keep healing myself in place.

Incredible work here guys. I haven't been able to figure out the smithing rooms yet, do anvils and furnaces serve any function? I saw an item underneath an anvil in my last game and couldn't retrieve it, I tried kicking it out but i only kicked the anvil
Currently you can only crack it with a sturdy pick-axe, or resolve it with acid. Maybe you can also try to teleport the scroll away?

Weeks ago I happended to teleport to the mother plant and did my successful assault. Then I hoped to do it again with two daggers. Was I too confident? These days I died more often in UT1.
