Yes LIVAN is much more unbalanced but I play it every once in a while, it's nice to see new areas to explore and new items. I've never encountered the Demonhead though. I did notice a "bug" once where my sword was stained with blood indefinitely. I wonder if it became "permastained" in the same way that you can get permanent telecontrol for example - too much blood?

Nothing guaranteed, except the crystals, which make a good permanent light source. You can harvest them from the walls, but you'll need an extra strong pickaxe. However there are the usual random goodies.

Access is through UT level 2. You will notice there is always a circular shaped room with an area of stones in the center. You have to dig through the stones with a pickaxe or destroy them in some other way to reach the staircase within.

It doesn't matter where it is unpacked.

Well, first welcome Hikalian, since I don't think that's been said yet. And we take things pretty easy here, nobody minds if you resurrect old threads. In fact I prefer that to reposting the same topics over and over.

You can press 'z' to zap it like a wand of fireballs. However, when I find them I usually just eat them. It increases each of your stats by one - but notice that it also makes you bloated from overeating for a long period of time, which will drop your agility considerably.

I've had games where I got multiple SoCM, and others where it seems like I can't find anything valuable at all. A couple weeks ago I ran into a horn of bravery, and was like, "Wow, I completely forgot these even existed" because I hadn't seen one for a long, long time. It's just the randomness.
