I don't know why but clicking the arrow to go to the newest reply (the arrow which shows up to the left of a topic on the topic list) doesn't always get me there. I notice it tends to happen when there are multiple pages in a topic.

I just might have fixed the problems with not linking to the most recent unread reply. Only from the main board display, not from the forums themselves. Let me know how it is working. At least the sub-forums didn't work period before, but now they appear to.

I'll be updating the site over the next few weeks. At least I plan to.. and I'm pretty certain I will.

Didn't it drop very quickly from there though? Whenever I drink ommel sweat, it returns to normal just a little while later.

Well, they already can't be healed when they are damaged in other ways. So in that way they do show "wear." I think any natural wear just from friction should only reduce them by 2 or 3 strength values over a long period of time in order to be realistic. So it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I do think that artificial limbs makes the game a LOT easier. Not because of strength but because of the agility & dexterity bonuses. With natural limbs agi and dex never get very high, and they lower very quickly even if you do get them up temporarily. At least that's in my experience. Has anybody (by which I mean slob) ever gotten a very high agi/dex natural character?

Yes a new arm will have the same stats, otherwise healing liquids and troll blood would be relatively worthless.

Guess I was mistaken about Petrus. I think it's because the gas didn't actually explode on him, he only walked through a cloud. I think this should definitely be considered an exploit.

Buahaha. So I used 4zb4's mustard gas trick with a twist. I was going to use the puppy but he died early on, so I just bought the slave from the shop.

Then I got him to stand right in front of Petrus and threw the mustard gas at him. The gas exploded, landing on Petrus's square as well. Apparently I was wrong earlier when I thought the gas doesn't affect Petrus. I just had to sit and wait for a while for him to die. Surprisingly, picking up his nut didn't constitute stealing, so nobody came after me (I didn't want to risk taking his other stuff). Also, throwing the grenade at the slave didn't make him angry, he was still loyal.

Anyways, I present to you a 1,652 turn, 1,476 point victory. It would even be possible to beat it more quickly, since I actually explored UT 1 and 2 (looking for mustard gas grenade), though I did just teleport Jenny out of the way in UT3.

Not yet.

Damn, I tried zapping a wand of door creation behind Petrus so that I could then throw the grenade at the door but it pissed them off. Also, mustard gas doesn't seem to have much of an effect on Petrus. Even having him stand on the gas square continuously for many turns, he dropped 3 hp but no lower.

So perhaps Haedlic laid the mine and did kill him after all....
