I highly doubt the god relationships have anything to do with the types of dwarves that spawn.

Troll blood has a weaker healing effect, but has a higher satiation value effectively doubling as a food source in addition to the healing. I don't think there's any difference between the two when it comes to limb regeneration, though I could be wrong.

Definitely, the only way he should be able to actually do damage is crits. Of course, as always, haste and slow before fighting just in case.

Elpuri will be easy with that gear.

Also, because I just can't take a normal victory, here's a kill screenshot of my latest Elpuri kill (the shoutbox character):

Yes the armor is a huge mess atm, still waiting on those few missing wisdom points for the dolphins to jump straight to valpurium.

The second one isn't faring much better with Dyslexia, ADHD, Kleptomania, Savant and OCD.

Encountered a kobold with a balsa spear, no more using anything else than balsa spears until I manage to find another spear.

Then got eaten by a hedgehog. :I

Rolling my first character, holy fuck:
Dyslexia,
Vegetarian,
ADHD,
Kleptomania,
Bulimia Nervosa.

Expecting a short run.

EDIT:
Yeah, died on UT1 to a kobold with a copper battle axe. Having to use a balsa spear due to kleptomania is rather inconvenient.

AoLS doesn't drop your inventory. The limbs it regenerates have no gear on though, but the same goes for any new limbs.

Artifact weapons don't affect the balance that much. The only reason you shouldn't use Turox early on is the explosion proc.

In other words, if there's a Mjolak right next to the entry stairs on UT1, you absolutely should pick it up and use it instead of that balsa spear +1.

My point is, as long as you keep a few basic principles in mind, there'll be no sudden lethal spikes in the danger level. Just picking up new gear or enchanting your own will in the vast majority of cases outweigh the increase in danger level. The one rare exception being armors of great health, since the added END screws up the balance.

Yes, having a +10 flaming valpurium sword, swinging it a couple of times to spawn veteran kamikaze dwarves on the level and then have it disappear in UT2 can and will kill you. The danger level just doesn't spike like that in a normal playthrough, nor do you suddenly lose the equipment that spiked the danger level in the first place. If it does, well, it's your own fault for going down the stairs as a valpurium golem and then get blasted to bits by Izzy.
