However, for that very reason it is a marvelous defense against starvation (the part where it can't rot away helps too). Note that if you decide to use it as a starvation guard (or as a wand of fireballs, or both) that as it can be can zapped like a wand of fireballs, so too can it be broken like one (and as such will explode in your face and likely turn you into a great big mess of fleshy chunks).

The times I've been to the werewolf level, I mostly wound up killing all the wolves + wolfman in the doorway. But then I don't think the wolfman was in his wolf form those times either.

I believe applying a horn of fear will panic monsters while applying a horn of bravery will cure panic in yourself/your pets.

Strangely enough I don't think I've ever used them when I found them either.

To pick a nit: That was LIVAN, not IVAN (0.50 IVAN has no katanas and venom daggers are a CVS thing IIRC which LIVAN was stacked on top of, sorry).

1. I don't know for sure.
2. Yes, and this can be done for normal bones files you deem as too unhappy to save as well (like a UT2 overrun with magic mushrooms, say).

You, ah, are sure you pressed Y when you saved, right? Some games make you have to do Load Game instead of New Game too, but I tested it and Start Game loads a previously saved game. You're also sure you didn't quit from within the game with Q, right? Your saves are gone when you load them and so if you quit out to the main menu after having saved it once already there will not be a save file waiting for you. The last thing I have to check is that you're *certain* you didn't die, right? The reason savegames disappear in the first place is to enforce permadeath, which is basically that once you die your game is done and you'll have to start over from the very beginning. If you're certain none of that happened, try starting a new game, going into New Attnam, saving, and then look in your folder. If you still have no save file then something may be wrong (what, I don't know, but something may be wrong all the same). 0.50 saving worked just fine for me when I tested it just now so I dunno in that case.

You might not have to be their announced champion judging by recalled wizmode screwarounds, but you'd better be damn close before trying.

I have wizmoded a fight between myself minus arms and legs but with extremely high health + one golden eagle shirt and Petrus, and thus determined that no, being confused is *not* a bar from attempting to bite your foes to death, assuming you are either not panicked or cornered. However, the chances of actually biting your foes are very low if you are untrained in such a skill, and given some level of protection could probably end up looking like an impossible feat.

This does not address the stated event of the angels staying near instead of panicking yet not trying to fight the enner at all, rather than just missing. Again, I'm going to guess that it could be due to god anger translating to less helpful pets, but testing that seems like more of a hassle than it's worth at the moment to me (unless there is a savegame on hand that shows this behavior by chance). Probably not that difficult to really test out in wizmode though; all you have to do is get a god to summon angels in a dungeon, piss the god off a bunch and see if the angels kill things.

Wouldn't they kick or bite if that were the case? Though I guess they might have gone into a panic, but then why stay near the enner at all?

I would guess that's a result of the whole pissed-off god thing, since, you know, the angels aren't exactly independent of their god's wishes.
