Scrolls are items made of Parchment. Reading a scroll will have various effects, as described below. Reading a scroll will raise your intelligence slightly. More powerful scrolls are less common to find, and raise your intelligence more when you read them successfully. You cannot read scrolls while you are confused, and certain creature types cannot read scrolls either. Since scrolls are made of Parchment, they can easily be destroyed by fire (except the Encrypted scroll)Spoiler

Scroll of Detect Material
Detects items made of the requested material which are present in the current map. After you finish reading the scroll, items of this material are highlighted, and you make look around the map. This can be useful when fighting the Enner Beast or Mystic Dark Frog== Special Scrolls ==
===Encrypted Scroll * You are given this scroll at the beginning of Enchant Armor===the game to deliver it to Petrus. It cannot be read or destroyed.
Enchants the equipment of your choice. If you have two identical items (two boots of agility, for example), it will enchant both. They must also both be in the same state (both broken, both fixed, both covered in water, etc.). Enchantment is guaranteed to succeed up to +5, beyond that it becomes less likely the higher it has been enchanted.
===Scroll of Enchant Weapon=Strategy ==
Enchants the weapon of your choice. Enchantment is guaranteed to succeed up to +5, beyond that it becomes less likely the higher it has been enchanted.Work in progress!
Scroll of Golem Creation
Allows you to create a friendly golem out of any item. The golem's flesh will be made of the material that you convert.== Tips and Tricks ==
===Scroll * Note that the Wand of Harden Material===Teleportation is superior to the scroll in that it takes only one turn to zap while the scroll can take some time to read. On the other hand, you need no limbs to read a scroll, unlike zapping a wand.
Allows you to harden the material * Scrolls of an item or limb. You must have a certain amount of Intelligence in order wishing, charging and body switch cannot be wished for nor can they be cloned, to harden into certain materialsprevent abuse. See List of materials for more info
===Scroll * The material detection can be useful while fighting the Enner Beast or mystic dark frogs, cutting the time you have to endure their powers to minimum, as you will know their location. Simply detect e.g. enner beast flesh. It can be used as well to find any hidden loot or to magically map the level, if you ask to detect the wall material.** Note that attempting to detect any material that is present in large quantities (e.g the floor or tunnel walls' material) will result in the player being hit with "an enormous burst of Repair===geographical information" resulting in confusion and the scrambling of your floor layout memory. The chance of this happening can be mitigated by having a higher intelligence.
Repairs any item or non-healing limb. This will repair broken * For the effects that affect paired items, rusted metalthe items must be perfectly identical. For instance, etc. you would have to have two Loricatusboots will sometimes give you a scroll of repair when you pray to himagility +2, both broken and covered in water.
===Scroll of Taming=== Allows you to tame a creature standing next to you. Not all creatures are tamable. ===Scroll of Teleportation=== Teleports you to a square in the current level. If you have TeleControlCategory:Items, you can choose which square you wish to teleport to, otherwise it is random. The higher your IntelligenceCategory:Magic Items, the further away from your current spot you can teleport. If you teleport out of your Int range, or teleport onto a wall, it will move you to a random spot. ===Scroll of Wishing=== Allows you to wish for an item. Not all items can be wished for. __NOTOC__
