Unfortunately levitation will not cause your inventory to become any lighter or increase your carry weight. On the other hand, being weighed down by a heavy inventory won't stop you from levitating either.

You will not trip [[bear traps]] or [[mines]], nor will you be affected by spilled liquids or broken glass on the floor when floating.
