Fountains can have both good and bad effects, it is up to you whether or not they are worth the risk. Drinking water from fountains can save you from starving if you have no food. You can also fill empty bottles or cans with water from fountains by dipping them ('!' command).
Each effect also generates a certain message:
* Can summon a [[Dolphin]], a [[Genie]] which grants you a [[Wish]], friendly or hostile [[Snake|snakes]], [[Mommo_slime]], [[Dark Frog|frogs]], or [[Rat|large rats]].
* Can spill different types of [[Rings]]
* [[Lycanthropy]]
* Spawn a mystic dark frog somewhere in the level (only 1/1600 chance)
