Giant mushrooms are plentiful, although weak enemies found almost everywhere. They come in two varieties: giant mushroom and magical mushroom. Eating the corpse of either will grant the player a random status.
Mushrooms have the unique ability to reproduce rapidly, and if left unchecked can swamp and entire dungeon level. The only way to ensure mushrooms cannot reproduce is to destroy all mushrooms and mushroom corpses on the level.
