Body armor is a piece of [[armor ]] that covers the torso of the player.

It comes in two variants: Chain mail and "Solid". Solid armor is identified as "plate mail" if it is made of a metal alloy, and simply as "armor" if made of a different [[List of materials|material]]. Chain mail is simply "chainmail" no matter what it's made of.
