Giant magpies are greedy birds that can be found almost anywhere.
They will steal one of your items on attack and then fly away. They are fast so it's easy to lose sight of them. The item they steal is usually one that shines - a ring, wand, valuable stone or any metal/gemstone gear.
However, they are weak and easy to kill when cornered - note that the Giant Magpies cannot open doors. If you corner it against a door or chase it into a room and close the door, it won't be able to escape. That is, of course, until another creature opens the door.
