Sorry for a new topic, but I don't think anyone has suggested this before, and I thought it deserves a particular mention.
This is an extension to the infinite bananas trick - ie. kicking bananas from the landing zone after the gatherers drop them but before the ostriches pick them up.
I guess anyone who tried this can agree that the ostriches are particularly annoying. So here'sone more use for the wand of door creation:
Just wait for a while or run around New Attnam and then kick whatever you want out of the steadily approaching infinity pile of bananas.
If you're wondering what to do with all the bananas and peels, here are some ideas:
1. bankrupting the Attnam shop by selling it only bananas
2. decorating every single tile of New Attnam with banana peels
3. doing the above and then pissing off Decos
4. becoming a champion of Nefas using only sacrificial bananas

is the ostrich just stuck and stupid enough not to go around the doors? or did you completely surround it with doors?

When an ostrich reaches the door, it stops dumbfounded. When two other ostriches follow, they get displaced onto the sides, and as a result, all three stand there like idiots while the growers drop bananas.

that's funny
you're right, nice for those door wands to finally have a use

Also, it should be noted that it will tell you that kicking the bananas is vandalism, but nobody will actually attack you if you kick them. This confused me at first, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

That's a cool trick! I remember having an issue with bananas when I bought like ALL bananas and didn't know Mellis
... Thanks for bringing it up clearly, Capristo. I'm bound to use it.

I tried using the banana trick to crash the game with infinite bananas, but it didn't work. The highest amount of ripe bananas you can get is ~1000, over that they just rot. Still, it does make the framerate drop down ("go bananas" literally
).

Have you tried using wands of haste/slow?

And 500 Agi, for instance?

Heh, one idea/suggestion for IVAN I got was a special scenario in which Richel Decos would get pissed at you if you interfered with his banana production (taming/killing banana growers, blocking their path, etc.). Alas, the game's development is dead and so is the development of all the cooler mods.

On the banana growers? Nope, gotta try it, but I doubt the results will be good enough to crash the game.

Makes you kick faster? Or... what?

Checked wands of haste: the wands do work on banana growers, but their effect is dispelled when they leave the map and return. So it's sort of useless.

Hmm. How about slowing the bananas (if you're playing CVS) and giving the banana growers boots of agility (if you're using WM)?

I never knew you can slow items to make them last longer in CVS
Nice, chao!
Using that and - since we're talking wizard mode - just boosting banana growers' agility over 100, I managed to get a pile of 3500 bananas, weighing over half a ton. That's mostly because I did the agility-boosting trick too late, doing it early should easily get you a pile of 5000 slowed bananas, which would equal to ONE TON OF BANANAS.
I was afraid the wand of slow has a limited number of targets, but it doesn't. Using it on a pile of over 3000 bananas freezes the game approximately half a minute.

Hasted weapons attack faster I'm assuming?
The slow/haste items trick is old hat. I don't recall where it was first mentioned, but I believe it was in connection with making ommel tooth items last longer before rotting (as slowing an item makes it rot slower. similarly, hasting an item will make it rot faster).

Doesn't hasting Yourself while wearing, for example, ommel bone equipment, make it rot faster, too?

And what about rust too? Would hasting/slowing a, for example, iron two-handed sword covered in acidous dark frog blood speed up/slow down the rust process? Or even remove the covering liquid faster/slower?

Can you haste/slow a holy handgrenade so it counts slower/faster?
