Boots of Displacement

what do they do? I have a pair equipped but I dont see a status effect from them.

When you kick a creature, you exchange places with them. They can help in escaping from being surrounded.

That is cool. Seems kinds of limited though. you would have to have them equipped before you got surrounded.

do you need to have both equipped for it to work?

It only checks the boot with which you kick, so technically no, but I don't know if the leg you use for kicking is deterministic or random.

And yes, the boots are on the weaker side. Maybe they could be enhanced to allow a 2-square teleportation by kicking at empty air?
