4.) pray to silva for guidance and permission to disassemble the alter to relocate it?

Maybe it could be that any earthquake (the only source of which are conveniently prayers to Silva) can shatter an altar into portable pieces?

Change its material to Assassin Flesh. Float it up the dungeon.

Sure.

I'll give you one more quest I came up with:

Daemon Ending
  • Steal the Avatar of Valpurus (the valpurium statue laying on the right thorne in the Cathedral) from Attnam and go to Oree's lair.
  • Chatting with Oree (even though he is hostile) will bring up the Do you have something to give me? prompt and if you select to give him the Avatar, you will trigger the Daemon ending.
  • Oree will say something about that Valpurus was once again humiliated yb the powers of Choas and that you proved worthy in his eyes. He will than grant you immortality and demonic powers, transforming you into daemon. High score log should say that you became a daemon and continued to sow chaos and destruction.
  • Score like Knighthood ending, or so I'd say.

I'm proposing this because I feel sad for the little Avatar thing - it just sits there and does nothing, even though it looks like it should be important. It really feels underused.

Also, who wouldn't like to become a demon?

If it's too heavy, you might kick it. If it ends up in a corner, you'll need a pickaxe, of course. If it ends up in a corner of undiggable walls... Well, bad luck, unless you happen to have a wand of teleportation. But you'd have to be able to kick things up stairs... Which is probably not happening anytime soon.
What if Silva is angry if you try teleporting it, because she wants you to use your "natural force"?

Actually, going upstairs is the least of problems - apparently, you have no problem climbing stairs while overload, even though you cannot move otherwise. (Also, you can use stairs while polymorphed into e.g. carnivorous plant.)

Kaethos could possibly give you some book that raises your mental stats (and can be read only once, maybe confuses you if you read it again? ) - after all, he worked at University, so he must have some books stored. Also, that book could be useful yet not too strong as the quest is not hard to accomplish.

What about making the eunuch guard friendly after the Mistress quest, so he will overlook you flirting with Petrus' wives? If you haven't completed it yet, he (but only he) could become hostile if you try to seduce them - you cannot attack him or you would make the whole Attnam hostile, but he couldn't go out of the harem room, so you would be safe simply by walking away. He could revert to being neutral after a while, so you can attempt the Mistress quest again.

He's disguised slenderman.

Edit: Sulphur does not burn and gunpowder does not explode. Landmines etc. are probably simply defined in code to explode, but if you SoCM e.g. large chest into gunpowder and then zap it with WoF in expectations of huge fireworks, nothing happens.

It occurs to me there's no solid numbers on just how big an altar is, just that it's made of granite.

I think that altars are the same as stairs or fountains - indestructible and immovable (and made of granite). That's why I was unsure how to move it from UT4 to NA.

However, I like the shattered altar pieces to bring to the priestess.

Possible uses for Willpower attribute:

  • Use it for instead of taming difficulty. As of now, taming difficulty is rather unfathomable for a player who haven't looked into the game files. Tying it to a attribute easily found with stethoscope would allow players to weight their chances and not waste their SoT. Or you could even create some new strategies, like a wand of draining that decreases attributes - drain the monster until it has low enough Wil to be tamed, tame it and train it back to its power (or wait until the Drained status wears off, in case it would be temporary).
  • Use it for magic resistance. With the power of your iron will, you can resist some mystical powers of your enemies. Spells like fireball won't check magic resistance, but any spell affecting you in non-damaging way would. You can e.g. resist slowing, item teleport or even disenchanting with enough Wil.
  • Use it for panic resistance. Any time you panic, it would be better not to. While bright mind (Int) or knowledge (Wis) will not help you in overcomeing the flood of uncontrollable fear, mental training (Wil) would. This way, the highter your Wil, the lower the chance you will panic.
  • Use it for pain resistance. Could be used as a save against unconsciousness from massive head damage, but I think a brand new pain counter would be neat - every damage taken would raise your pain a bit. With enough pain, you will pass out even if your head is unhurt - e.g. your right hand was chopped off by Sherry, your left leg got stuck in a bear trap and your torso is slightly wounded. While it is not deadly by itself, the pain is great enough to knock you unconscious. But with enough Wil, you will stand up again, just like in the movie climax, tear off your leg (more pain for the counter, but you have really high Wil) and beat Sherry to death with it (or she'll one shot you).

I hope this board is the right one to post our suggestions. I must say I'm a bit lost with what belong where right now.

I think that IVAN could really stand some side quests in addition to the main storyline and as there was the Bring spider to child tourist quest added, I present you some ideas:

Heal Kaethos quest
  • Give either a healing liquid, troll blood to Kaethos (or zap him with a wand of ressurection?) so he regains his leg, for a reward of course
  • This quest is only accesible after the Revolution, as who would like to be healthy when that means only to work on banana plantation?

Silva altar quest
  • After Revolution, chat with the priestess of Silva and she will tell you to bring something from UT4, so she can restore the temple of Silva in NA
  • You shall bring something like holy crystal or even the guaranteed altar (but how?)
  • If you do it, you will be rewarded, the priestess will move to the old temple where Decos lived and build there an altar of Silva

Mistress quest
  • Chat with the eunuch guard in Attnam to get this quest
  • The guard tells you he guards both Petrus‘ wives and his sexual life – and the latter is not good at all. Petrus is bored by the obedient submission of all his wives and his visits in the harem are increasingly rare.
  • The quest is to spice up Petrus' sexual life – bring a tamed mistress to the eunuch guard and you will be rewarded

Enner escort quest
  • According to game files:
IsUnique = true; /* currently */
  • Also, Sir Galedon killed an enner, so there are other enners in the world
  • Make enner friendly (after all, he just wants to make friends, it is not his fault everything is dying ), he will still scream, but automatically, not due to hostility
  • If you chat with him (and survive), he will tell you how lonely he feels and how he always dreamed about meeting a girl who would not fear his voice
  • In a different dungeon, you can find a female enner beast, she is also friendly and after chatting with you, she will follow you (and scream)
  • Escort you to the GC and bring her together with the enner, survive it all and be rewarded
  • The reward should be REALLY BIG, just for not dying

Enner head quest
  • And another enner quest
  • As Pent wrote, enner's head is still animated, even when chopped off, and that is awsome
  • If you chat with guards in Attnam, you will learn that Sir Galedon fought some enner and managed to kill it – yet it was everything but a brave deed of him
  • Killing enner always yields his head, take this head to Sir Galedon so he can put in above his hearth and boast to his friends, and be rewarded
  • (Side note: make one of the empty houses in Attnam into Galedon'S house with a hearth )

Supplies for Merka quest
  • Merka has an agreement with dungeon monsters yet there is no such agreement to protect his suppliers
  • Merka will give you a shopping list – bring his these items and you will get a reward
  • He could also send you to another shopkeeper (the Atnamese one?) who will simply give you a chest with all the items Merka requests – yet the chest is HEAVY
  • A possible reward could be some gold, or maybe item (ring of detection – lets you detect any material once in a while, useful but not so much as you have to wear the ring and be at the right place in the right time to really detect something crucial)

May I have a humble suggestion?

Some travel improvement would be great:

1) Make it so that in (L)ook when you hit Enter, you will take the shortest route towards the targeted square (interrupted by prompts like You feel hungry. or It seems hostile, continue?). That would make walking through cleared levels much less of a pain.

2) Something like a (G)o command would be neat - you could pick any level you have already visited and again, you would be taken there by the shortest route. (Where would you like to go? UT1)

I'd love to see "Fists of Steel".

Actually, the UC damage should depend on your limb material - iron arms definitely hit harder than normal ones.

Also, what about allowing your artificial limbs (not the natural fleshy ones?) to be enchanted with SoEW? That would raise their damage as well as durability.

(I've never seen anyone say "I wish the vomit key was 'm' instead of 'V'").

I wish (D)rink was (q)uaff instead. (Seriously, I have dropped healing liquid several times when it could have killed me.)

I would pretty much like to know what have the devs intended to do with that Lenin's Mummy (name from CLIVAN for that figurine in Items.PCX). And with the nuclear bomb in top right corner of that file.
