Yes, the flames move.

I just use the basic phpbb format for the forum anyways. I've never been a fan of dark color templates.

Holy shit balls is all I have to say. I got so lucky it was literally unbelievable.

I made a nice little presentation here of my win. I tried to make it enjoyable, so read it if you would. I also included my other win, elpuri's head, solely because it's kind of entertaining. Please read.

(be sure to look at my stats. Don't ask me how I ended up with perception that high because I don't know)

Summary:

FINAL SCORE: 620310
ENDING: High Priest
Character Name: Maclellan (from Call of Duty 4 lawls)
Equipment:

Octiron helm of brilliance +13 (AV33)
Amulet of ESP/life saving
Angel hair cloak of fire resist/electricity resist +7/+7 (AV14)
Octiron belt of carrying +6 (AV1
Adamantine plate mail +9 (AV44)
Octiron gloves +7 (AV 20something)
Octiron Boots of strength +5 (AV20something)
Vermis +8 (I think it was 11-21 dmg)
Angel hair whip of thievery _7 (11-21 dmg)
My rings switched between fire resist, electricity resist, invisibility, and infravision. Also, by the end of the game I had about 4 screens worth of wands.
Limbs: angel hair arms and phoenix feather legs.

To top it all off, I must admit that the reason I got a headshot on Petrus with my wand of striking was probably because my name was Maclellan. That guy is a badass.

I found some pretty badass stuff too, including armors of great health +6 that I didn't use for fear of death, a diamond dagger +8, a saal thuul +3, two turox, and a total of 4 vermis. Oh, and like 8 whips of thievery.

I think different named baddies have different markers on them. Shererax has something to do with Astr and Lstr I believe, while most of the others are HP-based.

I haven't tested this theory at all, but it's what seems to happen whenever I play.

She always appears before Elpuri for me, but that's mostly because I play IVANT and GC is like twice as long.

Pretty well known, but throwing a bone to a dog or wolf will make it your pet.

Dude, how does spam make a poor community? That's like saying peanut butter makes Reese's bad...the IVAN community is pretty much half-spam, half-IVAN chat. Spam is part of why this place feels so friendly. To get rid of the spam would be like taking away the fun of this place. If I wanted to come to a forum strictly for talk about a particular subject, I would go to the flippin government discussion forums or something. I hardly even play IVAN anymore, but I like hanging out with everyone around here, so why the heck would it be good to get rid of the spam? If you're so into this "Cold, strict" policy, why not make your own IVAN forums, strictly for talk only about IVAN? I don't mean to be mean or anything, but, damn, dude, chill with the strictness. It's just a game, it's not like we're discussing the end of the world here. Although we could do that, too, because we have spam forums. Oh, and if spam bothers you, DON'T READ IT.

Again, excuse me if I stepped out of line a bit by going off on this guy.

Although Atomic kind of said it already, get off your high horse man. While enforcing strict policies isn't something we do in this forum, we kind of live to a code of reasonable conduct. If people actually started turning this place into Gamefaqs, I would leave in a heartbeat.

Oh, and another thing that bothered me: don't put quotation marks around something that the person didn't say. It makes you look really stupid to people who are paying attention.

I've always said Genetrix and Sherry. Trixy sounds like a two bit hooker and Raxy sounds like the nasty disease you would get from her.

Well, I would hardly call that a minor footnote. That can easily make your character powerful enough to beat the game heh.

Anyone who actually uses Trixy or Raxy should be shot.

1) Change your limbs to something better by mirroring a socm. I prefer fast materials like golden eagle feather.

2) Enchant your armor up.

3) Wish for either a helmet of intellect (if you need more int) or a helmet of perception (really useful). Enchant/harden it up. Alternatively, wish for a vermis or two to just tear shit up.

You'll be needing an enchanted cloak of electricity resistance and probably fire as well. Get them.

Beyond those basic tips, you need to tailor your vast amount of options to your playstyle. I would personally get dual vermis with some fast limbs and a stock of repair scrolls, but to each his own.
