I just checked in wizard mode, you can still challenge him. I know WM isn't exactly proof but I'm certain I've done it in normal games. Maybe you accidentally hit a palm leaf girl or some other civillian native, or if you were holding Saal'thul he just ignored you when you tried to challenge him?
I've done this before by getting polymorphed into a strong golem very early, killing Decos quick before I change back, and then going for the belt after UT training.
Edit- Try it yourself, eat Kenny and a few bananas right at start, and kick a tourist in the face. Get bloated and immediately challenge Huang before Decos finds you. Even if the grower encourager follows you into the house, Huang will let you challenge him to a private match and hide you for a while. This is presumably because he is sympathetic to your antiattnamese cause, though hell still beat you up down there.

If we allow save scumming for accidentally stealing, what next? Accidentally forgetting to not step on a mine? It'll be anarchy I tell ya!

I think forgetting you're invisible and accidentally stealing is grounds for reloading an autosave...
I dunno, there is the warning message asking if you're sure you want to commit thievery. But can't you still get the belt by killing off Decos and his goons? After the uprising you can normally still wrestle Huang, and he gives the belt instead of Decos. If banana growers and Huang are not hostile, you're fine as long as you're strong enough to kill all the foreigners (everyone with white skin.)

Pretty sure IsExtraFragile means prone to losing limbs. Dark knights have this tag and lose limbs like crazy in reference to the Monty Python bit. Skeletons suffer the same thing. I guess it works by making the limbs easier to hit, but don't know really.

I am pretty sure one of the devs is running for office. It could prove to be a source of campaign funds.
Upcoming Finnish news: Local politician creates computer game focused on demonic slave mistresses dismembering each other with whips. Leaves campaign in shame. Garners massive public support.

I just completed this challenge a few days ago, but unfortunately I've never been able to just accept a freedom victory and call it a game. I've brought Elpuri's head to Attnam prolly a dozen times and dropped it, returning to the dungeon for greater glory and invariably losing everything. This time I even got 55 Int and a full valpurium/GEF set and even killed Sherry, only to stupidly die to a kamikaze dwarf because I left my wands out of my box (while invisible no less.) I've still never won 0.50
I did learn a little about the gods though. After getting armor from Atavus, I successfully went evil enough to get Neerc Seulb by eating several human corpses, going on to become good again with mass lantern sacrifices to Legifer

I recently upgraded video card drivers in windows 7 and it caused full screen mode in 0.50 to stop working. Turning it on caused my monitor to go blank and show a message indicating the display mode was not supported, but Livan still worked.
The problem was solved by replacing the file SDL.dll in the game's main directory with the newer version of SDL.dll included in Livan.
If anyone is having problems with full screen in windows, I hope this might help. It looks like our beloved IVAN is starting to show it's age

Should work for zapping too, but I never do it unless I've used all the charges. Feels a little like cheating to me...

Eating a bone makes you feel like a hippy. Can anyone explain this?

You can check if wands have charges by dropping them in a shop. Dead wands sell for something like 36 gold, while any charges left will bring the price up. No need to accept the offer, just see what the shopkeeper will give you. I wanna say over 400 for wand of cloning. Even if it's dead, you can stand on a pile of four scrolls and apply the wand to get one last use. For wands of mirroring, you can wield an extra scroll in each hand for a total of six mirrored scrolls. I think wand of cloning ignores equipment though. Prt Sc button, between F12 and scroll lock, takes a screen grab. Open paint or gimp and paste to save a file.

Oh damn I meant ESP, telecontrol, and charming for GC7. I agree on invisibility for GC6, but I believe orcs and skeletons have infravision.
