So yeah, I got bored by the lack of >40kb/s internet access, booted up IVAN .50 again and got my high priest victory after three tries. The character had all natural limbs and relatively poor gear (think +5 octiron with +10 spider silk whips of thievery), but the huge amount of teleportation wands sort of countered it. Never saw Sherry or Izzy, but I doubt I could've killed them. I also found one of my earlier bones on GC12 with full valpurium gear +6 - +9 and +15 adamant flaming swords, but the outcome probably wouldn't have changed much without it. I didn't use pets either except for mirroring myself once inside the mage room; all mistresses Nefas summoned were immediately set to not follow, flee from enemies and never change equipment.

IIRC, she is tamable through resurrection in .50 because the tag for tamability was only introduced in CVS. .50 handled it through an extremely high value for taming difficulty or some such. I don't have a copy of IVAN available to check the script files at the moment, so this is only something I recall reading on the forums.

That's a negative, according to the quick test conducted on IVANtty. No option of staying as a banana grower after the polymorph ends. IVANtty should correspond to the vanilla .50, AFAIK.

How does polymorph control have anything to do with returning to your original form? When the polymorph ends, there's nothing to control anymore. You just go back to being whatever you are.

Only one of the portals works; it takes you back to GC1.

9. Let's put it this way. Up to GC9, the game is relatively easy when you get a good run. From GC10 onwards, I've always either run out of potions, teleportation wands and scrolls or run into Sherry's chameleon whip.

The random ruby golems blocking the way when running from her doesn't help either. The place is tough.

10. Most likely you were invisible, as Vlad doesn't have any kind of invisibility detection.
