Oh, it's entirely possible to find those in a single game. It's not necessary to have seven charging scrolls, any combination of wands and the scrolls will do. There's plenty of time to find them up to GC13.

Wand of cloning with three charges, seven scrolls of charging and five scrolls of enchant weapon. Or alternatively wizard mode.

Sophos can also give a scroll of teleportation IIRC, though I might just be confusing him with Infuscor. Other than that, not really? It's been a while since I last worshiped him.

Do you want to see your inventory? [y/n]

You hear a faint thump. You look down and see an active mine.
(4x)You hear an explosion!
Your wand of acid rain breaks.
Your wand of polymorph breaks.
You glow in crimson light. You are transfomed into a magical mushroom!
(23x)The sulphuric acid burns you.
You die.
Do you want to see your inventory? [y/n]

The worst deaths were all about kicking Kenny and getting eaten by him afterwards. In New Attnam.

I'm being 404'd on all of my message threads as well, the error is the same as Erno has except for the thread numbers.

Since enchantments do boost damage by 1 per application, faster weapons will benefit from them more than slow ones do. That +10 longsword would hypothetically trump the +10 two-handed sword just because of its higher DPS. Accuracy is a moot point; enchants, weapon skill (and dexterity?) are enough to give the player a negligible miss chance when high enough for this kind of min-maxing to actually matter.

Then there's of course the alpha-strike damage which in practice often matters more. It's obviously higher for the two-hander, but only comes to play when the first strike kills or incapacitates the target or the player has another action before the target gets to hit back. Sherry and highly enchanted war mistresses are pretty much the only targets to which this doesn't apply, so for the rest of the game two-handers generally perform better.

If I'm not completely mistaken, that's because the boots spawned with one negative enchantment level. Just like any other piece of equipment, gear with stat boosts can spawn with negative enchants. Only difference is that normal gear doesn't have the initial +1 enchant stuck on them.
