I prefer whips for dex-gain. Also stat-scumming isn't really a "detail."

Also bones files are never saved on UT1.

Yes, you can change the material of any object you want. If you like, you can turn a whip into steel. Though it wouldn't work very well... it'd be like swinging a very funny-shaped bar.

Also I'm going to object to the "one thread for all questions" idea. Such a thread would get clogged up and awkward after a time. Perhaps a FAQ thread which is occasionally updated if there's a question that is being asked repeatedly... But with the size of our community I doubt we'll have too much of that anyways. Also, separate threads means that the conversation can mutate and cover other somewhat related subjects without jamming up other peoples' questions.

Hate me for the doublepost, BUT, alcohol (vodka and valdemar) can explode.

On this thread -- Can we get smilies of kiwis, pineapples, and full, half, and empty bottles? For various ratings and such.

A lot of things do. All lumps are classified as "food", regardless of their material. (Hey look! A lump of poo. I'll put that in my pack. It goes right next to the banana, on top of my loaf of bread!)

But it does very much kick ass. Being a halberd, it's really good for arm strength. I recently had a game that found an iron halberd early on UT1, and by the time Jenny was dead I had 18 or 19 AStr. I didn't waste time on the plants either.

The best weapon in the game is a highly subjective term. While Vermis is by far a freaking awesome weapon, I would have a hard time calling any given weapon the best. Mjolak has a crazy angry proc (and as an added bonus is a halberd for retarculous damage), Saal'thul is great for it's invisibility (and haste? I can't recall), flavorwise Turox just plain rocks (I mean come on, exploding mace!), and of course there's Neerc se'Ulb with it's lifedrain.

Other than that I have nothing to add to this thread.

Apple -- Did you have any armor worth enchanting? CoFR, gauntlets or boots of statboost, belt of carrying, helm of statboost, decent armor? Generally speaking if you have anything worth enchanting there's no real reason to have more than 5 of any given type of scroll (HM, EA, EW), since that's as many as you can clone/mirror at a time.

Regardless... ouch. :/

All whips are unbreakable actually. However as far as whips are concerned a whip of thievery is probably your best bet, as there's no chance of your opponent suddenly becoming an ommel tooth golem. Plus it'll disarm them from time to time.

I've sold them. The angel hair armor is worth more than 1k gold.
