-You will absolutely NEED a source of invisibility, preferably a ring. You can get by without it until after Elpuri when you start encountering droves of veteran kamikazes. They will utterly destroy you if you don't have invisibility.

With a nice cloak you can survive them. I wouldnt waste a ring slot for invis, I prefer polycontrol & electricity. You really meet a lot of polying bitches after Elpuri.
- Don't use armor of great health. The enemies it will spawn against you will far outweigh the health bonus it provides.

- Never, EVER try to fight Shererax. The gear she has isn't worth the beheading you will most likely receive.
Personally I think that the biggest problem with Sherry is her speed, so I suggest zaping a wand of tele or poly at her and proceed to the exit
The last thing that stopped me from getting to Oree and killing her was some mage that polymophed me. Rings of polycontrol are hard to get, so I would wish for one after getting some decent eq.
The same with belt of levitation, it helps avoiding traps and mines.
Perception is a great thing to get, it helps a lot. When you have everything overenhanted and SoCM'ed mirroring carrots isnt a really bad idea. I dont know if you can SoCM a chest to carrot flesh.
Also, if you dont like to scitalk a lot, SoCMing things into ommel tooth is the way to go, imo. I do it before i enter the Enner beast level and it did never rot away when I played.

You can use vmware with windows installed. If you have software like crossoveroffice you could give it a shot too.
And you could try to get the sources and compile them on youre mac. It could work since ivan compiles & runs really weall on linux which isnt much diffrent from the macos.
