finally got a respectable distance into the game. a milestone for me was defeating the Enner Beast.
i don't know whoever said it but i remember a long long time ago someone said wand of striking is your best bet.
randomly teleported around using 3 different wands of teleport until i caught sight of him lined up pow. pow. down he went. felt so good i sat there and created a huge pool of blood from resting.
.
then got swarmed by zombies,skeletons,sirens,blink dogs in the next level
until a Kamikaze Dwarf fixed that. ^^ the explosion destroyed my teleport wands.....then my polymorph wand.
landing me next to the Guugzamesh the goblin king....as a zombie. my. head. went.flying.

I'd like to thank and praise God Cruentus for enchanting my beast claws and dropping me dozens of trolls bloods....

I do seem to be experiencing an issue with v0.56

one example is using the go/fastwlk move you know to head down a long tunnel quickly enough unless something is in the way to stop you.
it seems and feels like the game doesn't move unless i press something then the game moves a few steps freezing once again.
if i move the mouse around the screen area while going it'll move as i'd expect.... i kinda suspect it has something to do with that mouse input option for the menus but even disabling it in the options and relaunching doesn't have much of an effect.
.
any action like resting,crafting or going seems to have this effect.

edit: and its odd because i guess it seems to only happen when i start playing the game for a bit. heck i hope its not this pc im on. heh
edit once again: seems going out of focus of the game clicking off it and then going back fixes this issue im having. O.o

the crafting system in v056.
makes me feel like its the first time i've played ivan again!

got a troll tusk pickaxe mined some sandstone made a furnace. disassembled some spears made workbench. dismantled lanterns. glass ingots. made a glass boot. i was so excised i starved to death 2 steps later.

the greatest and saddest failure I've ever experienced was

I was going around that dwarven minefield
when that mutant bunny I ate earlier gave me more then heartburn....
I randomly poly-morphed into a bunny....
around 250 hp down to a measly 5hp...
I hop once.....nothing
I hop twice.....nothing
I hop trice......ka-boom

not just one ka-boom
my wands then went ka-blowwheee
and then my scrolls when whoosh!
my poor mangled rabbit body was thrown across the minefield and hit a few more mines before I finally stopped dead and was taken by the sweet embrace of death....

I'd say all the gods really enjoyed that moment.

what about different ways across?
like you can break some wood and drop it near the water to create a bridge.

[you can say walk into 1 block of water...provided you can grab onto something.....you drop say stone or wood to create another space you can safely walk out until a bridge is created........if you move away from anything to grab...chances are you'll swim like a brick provided your load isn't too heavy or you armor isn't too hard to move in....big heavy chest plate..gauntlets and boots would making agile swimming hard]

I also thought of finding lilly pads.......dried up lily pads you can collect and add to water......then you have to wait about 100-200 turns for them to hydrate themselves in water allowing you to pass.

I probably would've made it where fire engulfs you entire body visually....so just a big square of fire.
Then you can read in the text box......
your left arm is burning!!
your left arm is scorched!!
your left arm is burned off!!

What about if say theres a material called soot or charred.
.....like a black water for now.....but it covers stuff similar to how water does. When items burn.



And Obviously Fire should cause a high level of panic while burning...

...erm...metal armor holding onto fire longer?
Throw it onto the ground until it stops burning/being hot?

Zap like 3-5 times before..."The cockatrice's glowing eyes stop glowing"...allowing the player to then eat it....for hunger or maybe an effect?
