nice work Eagle.. I had always assumed it would transform the contents of the chest as well

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure about that, but I always got fairly high-value items using this technique, so I assume it's safe.

So much to learn, I still have.
Thanks for the info.

On the topic of meteoric quests, a wand of polymorph is less valuable than a SoCM or a wand of striking, and it changes the chest into a random item, leaving it's contents behind without breaking anything.

"You smell the stench of death"
You're quite right about that, I'm more than sure it means you've stepped to a bones file.
I'm pretty sure all i've ever seen is "This level seems oddly familiar. Like you have been her in one of your past lives."

Are you using "vanilla Ivan" to get the stench of death message?

I'm also pretty sure that named creatures prevent bones creating. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I once had a bone where Rondol had Vermis. I've seen that same file for 5 or so times, always getting my butt kicked by Rondol and an increasing number of ghosts, all around the stairs. Of course, it's possible that only fairly high-level named monsters wll prevent bones to be created.

It's not flesh, so it can't heal. All other stuff needs to be repaired (Scroll of Repair)

Random Pictures sometimes shows twice the same picture - can you change that?

Oops, very tired when I wrote that, my apologies. Couldn't have woke up more than 10 minutes before I wrote that, sorry.

No problem.

On topic: I'll try it tomorrow, too tired now

EagleV, I'm fairly sure there's no reason to be picky about these rules. If we were to be picky about the rules, then I'd have to point out the fact that he didn't specify if cheating death is allowed, or artificial limbs not to mention, death counts as an ending. Just wing it, he simply wants us to play IVAN.

But I didn't say anything...
