Have you tried vomiting an altar?

I don't think it's case sensitive either. I remember having this great idea to search for the material used in the walls to get a picture of the map but the game was all like YOU CANNOT DO THAT, MORTAL.

Zombies won't die when beheaded but will eventually rot away... at least they can use equipment, pick up limbs and reattach them themselves, including heads.

Nay, it only causes them to eat and stop and then again and again until there's no more.

Maybe. Did you throw it or kicked the corpse?

I first witnessed a spider getting killed by something, and got shoved towards the carniplant when it died. I'm guessing the spider tried to kill someone trapped in a web, this someone had the arms trapped so it kicked the spider towards the caniplant.

I kicked a spider corpse towards a carniplant and it worked. Maybe it only works that way. Imma try again and see.

Edit: It seems caniplants will only eat when not bothered. I managed to make one eat a kobold and a spider. The only instances they wouldn't eat anything was when I got next to them.

Throwing/kicking a spider corpse at carniplants will cause them to eat it, throw up and probably die. I have yet to try it with the giant one. :3

Gods can really make a difference when facing certain death. It all depends on the god. For instance, you can get a limb back, teleported away, get an ally, etc.

Throw a bone at your dog and it will catch it and eat. :3

The way I survive that lvl is to ignore everything else and look for the exit room as soon as I can coz the more you take, the harder it gets. When the character is getting too tired for all the fighting, I gather all the food from killing them plants and run back towards the previous lvl to rest. If there's a fountain in one of the cleared lvls, it's a good idea to fill bottles with water, since liquids can help you recover from the tiredness.

It is the main reason I don't keep pets much. The only instance I get them is when I'm fighting a really dangerous enemy. If an enemy is too hard for me to fight I usually try to tame it. If the creature actually moves aside when I want to move forward, then I keep it. If not, I leave take them to me hometown and leave it there for future use there. :3

Wut. I must have missed it. Also, a banana of a different size? I never noticed holy bananas were bigger.

Using a wand of resurrection on a banana peel will turn it back into a delicious banana. I wanted to revive someone but I got a banana instead... >_>
