I checked it out, and it's pretty awesome. I wouldn't play it seriously, but it was fun to mess with

Could some skilled in the art of decompiling, doing magics, then compiling back fix the bug (something left in during testing, I guess) in the CVS-derived variants of IVAN, like IVAN 3d and IVAN-X? I refer to the fact that you start with Unarmed combat skill at level 19 (pretty significant, I guess).

I'm not sure there are sources for these, but the bug always ticked me off. Thanks if you try

EDIT: Just found out using 4 letters at a time from "Saal'thul" (the short sword) you can make the words "lust" "lush" "slut" and "hall"
...which is very suspicious seeing as it's a dagger that makes you invisible...

Interesting

Well, I got a valpurium shield back by UT2 once, IIRC, so the same should be possible with Mortifer. I found an altar and two books on UT1, and then a third book on UT2. Yays.

and a pick axe

...in what way was it relevant?

Edit: Ah, the stones. Nvm, I'm stoopid

Discovered something today: Negatively enchanted boots decrease your kick power.

*sigh* Let me share with you this sad story.

I had a lovely character, who became a champion of Valpurus still in the UT, and ran around with a valpurium shield, helmet of brilliance, mithril warhammer +5, and the lawful gods were at his side. Oh, and I had two pet werewolves "I'll kick Elpuri's ass", I thought in my pride.

Then, as I got past enner (no problem), I decided to stay in the big room level for a bit too long, fighting baddies. So a kamikaze dwarf kills me, and causes an explosion of a wand of polymorph (why did I keep it after polymorphing that damn chest at all?), turning me into a carnivorous mutant bunny.

Oops.

Well, since I still had my 44 HP and a helluva agility, I decided to run around avoiding enemies. I even decided to run up one level, but ended up surrounded by monsters, so I just went down, killed that blink dog, and kept on running.

Then I got exhausted, then I got fainting, then I got killed.

So it goes.

EDIT: SUCCESS!!
*Any monster that had its limbs cut off in battle and died can be resurrected with that limb using the wand of resurrection. Since it uses THAT LIMB instead of growing a new one when it is resurrected, you can successfully SoCM the limb and place it back on the body to resurrected, say, a kobold with a adamantine arm! This is still to be tested with a wand of necromancy.

Can I hear a mad scientist style laugh? You certainly should have one

EDIT2: Also found out you can use a scroll of repair to heal artificial limbs

Yep, but they don't heal automatically, and I'm not sure about potions of healing.

What, Vermis finds you?

I had a "skeleton finds Turox on UT2". Two deaths resulted (yes, I loaded a bone file of that level afterwards).

My best start game item, not counting wishes, would probably be just one of the artifact weapons (Turox usually).

I tried dropping my arcanite legs in WM, but my zombie refused to attach them. Neither did it when I gave it to it. Then again, I don't know what exact conditions for zombies to attach limbs are...
