If Mellis likes you, he may fill them when you pray to him. Same with empty and broken bottles.

The journey continues, this time more chaotic. (Lots of SPOILERS!)

I went to GC9, but apparently it's full of mages, so I needed some electricity resistance. I searched every floor, but couldn't find any. Then I decided to go to a shop to buy one. Kharaz Arad was the closest, so I went there. (I almost got mauled in the necromancer level GC6, and I lost a leg. Loricatus was nice enough to give me a new one made of lead.)

Some time later, I accidently broke a wand of acid rain close to the entrance to Kharaz. The guards didn't like that too much and attacked...

...resulting to their death. When I got down to Kharaz, the shop keeper and his guards attacked me. I killed them pretty quickly, and stole everything valuable in the shop. No Electricity resistance!

Surprisingly the guards at the main building(?) weren't angry at all. I chatted with the Vault keeper and he just told me to keep my hands off the artifacts. There were two artifacts. The first artifact was a shield of some sort. No use for that. The other one...

...was crushed a bit earlier when I prayed to Silva. Damnit!

Later I decided to attack the guards there, to see if I could kill them.
( I had a wand of teleport at hand if I would be in danger.)
The guards went down, and the vault keeper appeared.

I quickly overpowered him. He had just the thing I was looking for: a great cloak of electricity resistance!

Then came Enquiox, the master guard. He was way more difficult, but I managed to kill him.

If you're wondering, what's up with all that sulphuric acid, that was an accident...

...there were some suicide dwarves in there, so I decided to get rid of them first. I blew them up with a wand of fireballs... But I didn't remember the gunpowder on the floor explodes too! The following explosions destroyed some of my wands ( all three acid rain wands). Good thing I had the most important ones in a chest.

Pretty soon I prayed to Loricatus, who changed my lead leg to kevlar! I thought it was wizard mode only.

When I got back to Gloomy Caves, I found out Merka wasn't very impressed with my slaughtering. He attacked me with his guards. I had to kill them, too.

Now I'm wondering, is Attnam going to be angry at me for killing Merka?

To be continued!

Some screenshots of my game currently in progress. They contain spoilers.

An assassin I encountered. Look at his weapons! All -5.

I killed Lobh-se with the help of my mithril golem

Next up Enner... the first time I melee'd him.

The Wise Farmer?

The giant mushroom (Fusanga or something) was easier than I though..
I did encounter some strong monsters down there...

Here's my current equipment.
I got the chest armour by polypiling

I have about 6 acid rain wands, 2 teleport wand and one striking.
All the others were destroyed in a explosion (damn dwarfs!)

Lets see how far I'm gonna get.

Hmm, you can't effectively use a stethoscope on Richel Decos.
You only get the message: "You hear coins clinking inside".

(Z's 3D mod only): There's lots of free vodka in the cathedral's cellar. They can be sold for some profit.

Whips don't break if you dip them in sulphuric acid. Acid-covered whips are very effective weapons.

You fight with hedgehogs and lose.

Weapons with a lot negatives actually HEAL your opponent.
Is this a bug? It doesn't make any sense.

It would be useful if you could hit yourself...

Ways to avoid mines:

The ring of searching is pretty good for detecting mines and other traps.

The belt of levitation is the best, because you can avoid not only the traps, but dissolving liquids too.

You should have a cloak/ring of fire resistance to protect you from explosions.

Silva's earthquakes usually trigger all the mines on a level.

If you dont have any of these equipment, use the "s" key to "s"earch for traps. It doesn't always work the first time, so press it multiple times before taking a step.
Oh, and put your wands/scrolls/bottles into a chest to protect them from explosions (but always keep a wand of teleporting ready for use).

There are some dangerous golems in UT4. You should clear UT3 and maybe GC1 before going down there.

The crystals you can find there are good as a unbreakable light source. Of course you can sell them too, if you need money.

I'll work on the wiki too. IVAN is one of those games that really needs a wiki.

I have played IVAN for some time now, so i'm not a total newbie.

However, I don't speak english as my primary language (I'm finnish), so my
grammar isn't perfect. but I'll do my best.
