Does enchanting a weapon further make the extra damage exponential, or is it a straight line? It seems that enchanting Cloaks of Fire Resist makes them significantly stronger with each +1, has there been any quantification of the extra damage from weapon enchants?

also i got sal thuul for the first time and went into a shop, when i went to pick something up it asked if i wanted to commit this thievery, i chose no. If I chose yes does the shop keeper automatically detect it, or is there a chance for me to get away with it?

I used to do that every year in the ADONM usenet forum, but since Biskup started a regularly updated blog of his progress with Jade, there is no room for suprise.

I think people should just zip up their entire bones files. then you can swap it out for yours, just to see what kind of nonsense other players are getting into.

Im pretty sure I have a bones of Gugamesh on UT2 in mine standing next to a +8(IIRC) Mojo. Good luck to whatever unluckey adventurers finds that (assuming Guggy will swap his weapons out for the Mjol

Had my best char ever going. Loaded with equipment wands killer armor and weapons. Descend to GC4, bones file. It looks familliar. hmmmm Next thing I know Im side by side with a werewolf wielding an octiron quarterstaff +5 i was toast before i could move.

This may have been broiught up before, but a program similar to nethack's Hearse, where people can swap bones files would be cool.

Nice. it defintly left a bones, and its in the UT. i was zapping enner with wands and he destroyed my light source, so i retreaded up the stairs to loof for a light source and realized that the only one I could think of would be the light crystals in UT4. so i headed to the UT4 and as soon as i got there Rondol was standing next to me. I ran up the stairs and as soon as I go up he procedded to totally waste my giuy (second best char ever). so next time I get to that level with my torn leather armor and bone spear +1 i should have a grand old time fingthing rondy , who is now wearing my arecanite chain mail and wielding my +6 Mjolak.

another question, do oil lamps provide light? there were no flaming weapons generated in the game, so the only other unbreakable light source I could think of was a light crystal (do they even provide light)

If a charecter is killed by a named enemy, and a bones pile is left, Is the Named enemy still there when the bones pile is found?

Also if I leave a level do the monster heal while I am off the level? IE if I zap enner a few times with a wand and run up the stairs to heal, is he healing at the same time even though he is not currently on the same level as me?
