I'm going to try that, thanks for the suggestion. Although, I feel I've had this scimitar with me more than what a mirrored item usually lasts. Also, I left the archangel on one of the levels of the underground tunnel.

I get the following error message "Program aborted! AlreadyErased:ItemID 28175, possible dup char bug" whenever I try to leave Attnam or exit the game by saving. I could enter and exit Attnam freely until now, needless to say I'm stuck. I suspect it might have to do with me taking a ruby two handed scimitar +4 from an Archangel that one of the chaotic gods sent me when I prayed to them. I found it odd, because the Archangel had two ruby halberds equipped plus this scimitar, and as always I took the book they carry to train int/wis and thought such a fine scimitar couldn't hurt to have as a spare weapon. Other than that, I hadn't done anything remarkable in Attnam except selling a few items and whatnot.

I'm running the game on WIndows 8.1 if that makes any difference.

Please help! I can't continue my playthrough with this char which was looking quite promissing and I was having a great time.

Edit: I tried leaving the ruby scimitar on the floor and also ploymorphying it to something else with no success, I'm getting the exact same error everytime. I'm uploading the save file in case anyone wants to take a look at it.
Edit 2: I'm running the latest version, which is v0.54.

Hello there! It's been a while since I last played IVAN till a few weeks ago where I decided to start a new game (which ended in a high priest win, by the way ). Everything was normal with the excpetion that in the late game after killing Elpuri and past the portal down a few levels I found a flaming valpurium sword+10, which was weird. Not much time passed and it dissapeared as if it was a mirrored item.

So, after I ended that game I started another one and was doing just fine when I came across a flaming valpurium sword+10 again, only that this time it was much earlier in the game. As it happened before, it dissapeared after a while.

I remember finding two highly valuable items like amulets of life saving on the same level and having one of them dissapear after a while in a previous game, again like if it was a mirrored item, but never a flaming valpurium sword+10, and definitely not two in a row in different games. Any idea how or why were those flaming swords created and why did they dissapear after a while? I'm not sure, but I think in both ocassions there was an eddie in space-time continuum wandering around the level when that happened and it may be related to that.

Here's a screen of the second one I found:

Edit: I misspelled Flaming on the title but can't edit it

The secret of the school food is to eat it in the wilderness, because you can't vomit there. So you just run around until the poison goes away.

A nice way to train your endurance is taking two broken bottles to New Attnam, drop one next to the other a few tiles away from where you appear when entering the village, unequip yourself and walk on them. When one of your legs get hurt past the red display equip your boot so you don't lose the limb. When both your legs are quite hurt you go to the wilderness and run until you heal. With this method you can boost your endurance considerably and if you get hungry you can kick bananas from the platform where the banana growers drop them and then eat them.

Try to leave all your stuff in some of the houses and lock the door so you don't go burdened when your legs are hurt as you Lstr will drop.

Yes, but it's another life anyway. You can pray to Sophos if he likes you to teleport you away, or you can zap that wand of teleportation you wanted before dying but were unable due to your missing arms. In my last high priest win my amulet of life saving saved me against Oree who killed me once after making a combo with a burst of electricity by an elder dark mage (I had switched to my rings of acid resistance, so I was very damaged by this). So I came to life again, no limbs lost and kicked his ass.

Yes, double rings means double protection, I know this because with only one ring of electricity resistance you can be severly injured by lightning bolts, whereas with two the damage is significantlly reduced, which tends to do the work most of the time.

I never bother wearing a ring of infravision, the distance you can see enemies with infravision is based on your perception right?

So if Ischaldirh spawns after a specific date, is it possible to make him spawn on Attnam for instance? Or he only spawns on dungeon levels?

Helm: I always prefer of brilliance or understanding as they let you hit the 50 wis int required to talk with dolphins earlier.

Amulet: of life saving. You should get perma ESP by eating 3 floating eye corpses in a row so after that ESP amulets become useless.

Cloak: of fire resistance highly enchanted to provide protection against mines dwarves and any kind of fire explosion.

Armor: Valpurium is the ideal, but before that I tend to choose light ones that don't impact too much on your stats, that is: cloth ones at the beggining, then arcanite-mitrhil-octiron.

Belt: I usually wear a belt of carrying so I can take important stuff with me, otherwise I'm always burdened which is negative, so. Only use levitation in certain circunstances.

Weapons: Mjolak is one of my favorites, if you can highly enchant it (+6 at least) and turn it into valpurium you got a killer weapon which an easly be used with one hand and adds extra damage. Neerc Se-ulb is a great option too, preferably enchanting it further and dual wielding it if possible. I don't like artificial limbs and never used them, so I have to consider strength limitation of natural limbs.

Rings: two of electricity resistance, to be protected against master necromancers, mystic dark frogs or exploding lightning wands.

Gauntlets: of dexterity highly enchanted, strength seems easier to train if you don't use the banana peels trick discovered by Al. material, generally arcanite-mithril, otherwise phoenix feather.

Boots: of agility definelty, more agility the faster you move. generally arcanite-mithril.

Besides that, all the wands you can find (except of acid rain, I don't like them), all the rings so you can switch if needed, scrolls etc. Also, perma ESP, perma telecontrol, perma haste and perma invisibility.

You mean Ischaldirh has a date where he will spawn although you don't meet te stats required?

Wow, and when would be that?
