There are many great things. Last version before the dev updates I played was 0.5 and I got hooked to the game again thanks to the improvements. Here are mine:

- Music & sound
- Animations (the immersive one is the best for me, looks very cool and you can engage in combat without the need to read very long sentences)
- Permanent states getting blue the moment you reach the threshold needed
- Last time prayed to each god on prayer screen (no need to write down each prayer time on a notepad anymore)
- New artifacts
- Better special items such as flaming swords or thunder hammers (I feel they got improved, not sure though)
- Unwishable artifacts (going for a Mjloak everytime I got a wish previously was sort of repetitive)
- Being able to see talents via stethoscope
- Sound for catching leprosy
- Improved shields
- Hardening materials skips some materials depending on int (kind of necessary, though, with all the materials added in some upgrade lines)
- Customizable go command, being able to skip useless items is great
- New prayer effects and more frequent gifts from gods

That's what I can think of right now, but there's probably more. There are some things I don't fully like, it wasn't asked but what the heck, here are some of them:

- Too many materials with previously associated important colors like white. It used to be that when you saw a whiteish weapon or armor on the floor you knew it was mithril (or more rarely diamond), and therefore pretty strong, at least for early-mid game. Now most of them are lead or some other trash material, so you don't get that small rush for a second anymore.
- Scars
- Mind freaking worms, although probably what most bothers me could be easily fixed by adding sound to their attacks and maybe a nifty little animation too
- Inlux wielding a valpurium two handed sword rather than her classic diamond flaming sword

Edit: spelling

There is something that needs to be addressed with these mind worms. They need to make a special sound when attacking your brain and another one when entering your skull (possibly with an attack animation too), because when you're at the end game and have high int and esp your message bar gets spammed with actions done by all the creatures in the level you sense, so spotting either of these messages among all the things going on is pretty damn hard. And you may not even notice the damage in your head until it's too late. I believe it's currently the only damage type that doesn't make a sound or animation of some sort. Since these little bastards are so deadly (they can knock you unconscious and that's basically game over if there's enemies nearby), the player needs to be warned somehow.

I just got infected without noticing it before killing one of these. My head was moderately damaged so I retreated to a previous level to heal and bam, a mind worm got out of my head. While doing so, in the same turn, it knocked me unconscious and the rest is history. Needless to say I was pretty pissed because I died not for making a poor decision but for missing a single line of text, whereas obviously my character would've noticed a freaking worm entering and leaving his skull.

This is specially true now that there are sounds and animations for combat, both changes I love. Now you rely a lot more on visuals rather than text to understand what's going on, which is a good thing as it helps to navigate through the game more fluently. But it's also more likely you won't notice a message in your dialog box.

I found a couple of times these new shields of magic resistance. I was wondering how they actually resist magic like slow or striking spells. Is it a percentage reduction? Are elemental spells considered magic, effectively making the shield a resist all? And also, how much resistance it provides compared to other items like rings or cloaks?

I currently have a nice shield of electricity resistance and am hesitant to swap it for one of magic resistance. I remember in my last playthrough I was badly damaged by a lightning spell while wielding a shield of magic resistance (can't remember how much it was enchanted, though), so I figured it provided less resistance, but for a wider range of sources.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

Too bad I didn't used the stethoscope on it and check its stats. It seems the only chance for it to be visible is that it somehow spawns with increased stats, then.

EDIT: I just ran a quick test in wiz mode. Apparently, with just one more point in intelligence (that is 5 instead of 4) the spider silk golem becomes visible via esp. So if at the moment of spawning its stats are increased even by just one point, then it won't be 100% invisible.

Skeleton warriors have very high Agi (something like 20?), so maybe ihe just got lucky? I tend to run away from him until he catches up to get the first strike.

I might be failing to notice something here, but what does the skeleton's agility have to do with it attacking 3 times in one PC step? Shouldn't its dexterity be the factor there?

Yeah, his stats didn't change, but maybe he was generated at higher DL, or something else increased his Int in the game.

I don't think it was generated at a considerable higher danger level than with previous characters (or at all), and I've never seen this happen before. Also, golems can't eat nor drink and as far as I know npc don't read either, so how could it have increased its int?

Ok, that's good to know. So basically the chances are now the same wether you drink two full cans or you drink a full bottle since the amount is the same too, right?

You mean in that game? Because I ran a test in wiz mode by summoning the golem and it was invisible to infravision and esp. This is so weird.

That's new, isnt't it? New as in after 0.50 I mean. Also, any idea why now drinking from a can full of antidote liquid won't cure leprosy?

I just ran into the invisible spider silk golem, only this time I could see it with esp. Is this intended or a bug?
