There are other problems than just the stores. For example pets cant follow you down stairs when you're invisible. That and the monster levels that you know about. Overall I think it's useful but also not something I want to be unable to turn off.

I recently killed Oree for the second time, clearing every level and believe me that you need invisibility to do this, specially for the kamikaze dwarves and zombies. After killing Elpuri, past the portal, things get nasty and you can't be visible.

As far as I know, Loricatus can only harden the copper family of metals, up to adamant.

Something to have in mind: Loricatus can come handy even if he doesn't like you. If you are starving you can wield something heavy like a body armor and pray to him, he'll get pissed off and turn your wielded weapon into banana flesh, there you go, free food!

Although monster level increases while being invisible it can be very helpful to avoid or kill kamikaze dwarves and golems safely, or avoid killing tons of zombies when a master necro shows up. I kind of like being invisible all the time.

Oh yes, by the time you want perma invisibility, you should have bought all you will need from the library and shop in Attnam. The shop in GC is not a problem as you will sooner or later kill all those bastards.

I don't think these are perminant...

Yes they can become permanent, you just need to spend a lot of time around the mystic dark frog that keeps casting his spells on you (although you are not adviced of this) if you pay attention you can see a small animation on yourself when the mystic dark frog casts a spell on you.

Yes, it's really amazing.

Be warned, though, that training your stats that way too early can turn against you when stronger monsters appear and you don't have decent equipment to deal with them. I usually leave the supermegaamazingbananapeel training for later.

Dex doesn't seem to drop that much to me, and agi drops only when satisfied or burdened, or any combination of those states. So it is important to avoid being even satisfied, because it abuses agi. But anyway, it depends on each char, as I happen to have a character that trains agi fast and I'm around day 14 and it is always going up, right now it is 27, which is the highest I ever managed to have. This came very handy to kill Sherarax in melee, with no artificial limbs, pure melee, thought I could never do that. I just kept waiting to her to come right in front of me (pressing s to search) and hit her without being attacked by, then run again until I left her 1 tile behind, and press s again until she stepped forward, hit and run hit and run and.. that way I could kill her.

Also, it's amazing how Sherarax trains dex and agi, speccially dex, I brought 3 master necromancers to the level and she kept killing zombies one after the other and when I got a chance to sthetoscope her (she had only 1 leg) her dex was up to 120! Its almost double her original stats!

Well congratulations there, quite a nice character you've got, although dex is low (you should try Alveradok's technique against carnivorous plants with banana peels, works wonders). I found out that perma ESP and perma Telecontrol are a must have too, and used the same technique to raise int and wis with giant dark frogs, although I never got it that high. Here's a tip for the next one, you may want to get perma hasted and perma invisibility from a resurrected or tamed mystic dark frog (if you can get the two of them it will be faster), you just need to spend enough time around them and they'll keep casting haste and invisibility on you.

I ate two floating eye corpses + two mirrored floating eye corpses and didn't reach permanent ESP Is it because they were mirrored? Or is 4 not enough?

I recently started playing IVAN again and I ate 3 floating eye corpses not exactly one after the other but not much time passed between them either and got perma ESP. So it's not necessary to eat them exactly one after the other, but it seems 2 is not enough, you need at least 3 and in your case I guess you didn't get it because 2 were mirrored. Also note that the stat will stay white for quite some time until it becomes blue.

I know we've discussed this, but I want a central location for how to get permanent stats.

Telecontrol - how many blink dogs do I need to eat?
Invisibility - how many zaps with wands does it take?

You need at least 3 blink dogs, but you have to eat them all at once. Quite easy. The same goes for ESP, 3 floating eyes in a row will grant you perma ESP, try to save their corpses untill you have 3. Just leave them in a level you don't stay too much so they don't spoil.

For invisibility and haste, I usually get it from resurrected/tame mystic dark frogs, if you stay near them they keep on casting haste & invisibility on you and your allies. It takes quite a long time, though.

Something weird happened in one of my recent games that I'd like to tell you and see if we can explain it somehow.

I was exploring GC around lvl 3 or 4 and a goblin wearing an arcanite chain mail and Vermis showed up in the mine field. I killed him and he was wearing an amulet of life saving so I had to kill him again. I took his items and kept on exploring the level. Nothing strange here as he probably found that stuff in the floor.

I found another amulet of life saving and another Vermis, so now I had two vermis, an arcanite chain mail and an amulet of life saving. I thought it was probably due to a wand of mirroring exploding somewhere as the amulet of life saving dissapeared within some minutes and the arcanite chain mail too. Now I cannot explain how both Vermis dissapeared and didn't found any other one in the whole level. Also I did not find the real arcanite chain mail either.

At least one Vermis shouldn't have dissapeared if it had been mirrored somehow. The AoLS I found could be the mirror image and the goblin used the real one, but I can't explain what happened with both Vermis and the arcanite chain mail.

Any idea what could have happened?
