I second that question!

Also, what about bones? If I find a ghost, should I start start over? (I propose that we should)

I found this out the hard way yesterday ><

Not starving in the Tunnels gets easy if you avoid being burdened and stressed - you can stash the stuff and come back for it later!

Also, really lvl1 hints are:
Just don't leave any good weapons too close to monsters.

Play around with the gods sometime to see what effects do prayers have and what are their replacement limbs made of.

I also think that a death of a far-gone character makes you pay attention and teaches you about ten times more details than a death of a young character would. So raise your fist, go forth, and conquer!

Welcome to the magical world of IVAN, Waspys!

If I heard the sentence your said in the street, at the mall or over the phone, IVAN is the only possible thought that springs.

Coolthulhu:

I'm not an expert on this, but I think it's impossible, since for example to transform into an angel takes 26 Int, and gives 25, and while a mystic dark frog has the intelligence to transform into an elder dark mage, it cannot wear a ring of polymorph control (it might work if there is another tame mystic dark frog nearby, though).

Some basics are:
[list]
  • Polymorph into a Petrus's wife number 4 when selling/buying stuff.
  • Quite early you can polymporph into a female servant which trades 11 Int for 20 Int
  • Necromancers are generally plain stupid, and an angel is only wise, not intelligent
  • Elder dark mage is a 35->45 trade off.

I think pretty much everything's been answered. However, I have a little hint for you:

Dual wear a ring of polymorph and a ring of polymorph control when in danger of starving! And in early- to mid-game, transform into guards if you need to lug around heavy stuff.

Agreed, in one of my better games I used up all of my potions (and I was a fervent Mellis follower), but managed!

I believe blocking trains PER. Don't quote me on that.

Dodging does, 200% sure about it. Not sure about blocking.

Weapon skills - yes. But simply running around, while neither hungry nor satiated, would actually train Agi. Running while satiated and burdened would train LStr. As would simply kicking something once in a wall (a wand-spawned door for example).

I spent several (don't remember the exact number, but it could even be 10-20 or so, days constantly praying to Seges, Nefas, and all the neutral gods, until Loricatus finally upgraded my armor and Saal'Thul (and helmet? I don't remember...) to adamantium. I had trained my Wis enough to talk to mystic light frogs with a not breathtakingly enchanted helmet of understanding, my Int also went up a couple of points (I could talk to greater dark frogs I believe...), had an army of wolves and mistresses that I think I posted a screenshot of (I'll look around), and both my LStr and Agi went up from all the running I did while waiting for the cooldown.

So yeah, cowofdoom78963 is thinking the right way, staying home will make you a badass. Welcome to the forums
