I've setup Google apps for our domain. Earlier when I offered email accounts, everybody liked the idea but the webmail software was awful and I don't believe anybody besides Z and Erno is actually using theirs.
Now you can check your attnam.com email just like Gmail. You get 7 GB of storage and can use the calendar, docs, and chat as well. It's also much easier to setup forwarding, POP access, etc.
The only downside is that I'm limited to 50 accounts. So, I have 1 reserved for me, Erno, Z, chaostrom, and Somagu (if they want one). The other 45 are first come first serve. Just send a PM or reply to this thread. I will NOT be recreating the old email accounts. I doubt the ones who had them even remember what they were anyway.

7GB per person? Goodness gracious, do you have spare hard drives sitting around or something? :>
Sure! Why pass up on an email without a standard domain and the name I want WITHOUT any numbers?

It occurs to me that you're all posting email addresses on a google-searchable page. That's a recipe for spam.
I do want one but not that badly; I already have 3 email addresses that work just fine.

For some reason, I can't receive emails on my attnam adress. I triplechecked the adress on my test mail, it should work. Any idea what's wrong?
Edit for elaboration: attnam to attnam works, attnam to hotmail works, hotmail to attnam doesn't. Not even when replying to an attnam to hotmail mail.

I got your mail, but still can't get those from hotmail for some reason. Nothing in spam, and I get a 'delivery failed' notification.
I get the following error message, probably from whichever server is supposed to send mails to the right attnam.com account.
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mx5.hrnoc.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<[Attnam mail address]>:
[IP] does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 5.1.1 sorry, no mailbox here by that name (chkuser)
Giving up on [IP].

Okay, I think the Mail Exchange DNS record is still resolving.
mx5.hrnoc.net means that the email is still trying to send through my web host. It should be sending through Google's instead. The DNS records were changed 2 days ago and these things sometimes take about 48 hrs to propagate. I hope it will fix itself by tomorrow.
