Unexpected hostility from deities

As I go through the list, praying to every chaotic deity SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text., every once in a while Cruentus and Infuscor will become asshurt and either summon their archangel to murder me or shitpost for 1/2 an hour leaving me stunned and unable to do anything. What in the world am I doing to warrant this response from them? I avoid praying to lawful or even neutral gods, but does praying to Scabies and Cleptia cause too much of an alignment shift to keep Cruentus and Infuscor happy?

Yes, in fact. Normally you can safely pray to a range of 5 I believe, and since you start neutral you wouldn't really have any favour with either extreme end. Naturally Cruentus and Infuscor won't be of any aid until you become chaotic.

I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. As of now I end up praying to whoever I can find in the Underwater Tunnels, but I don't really have a good idea of what any of them do for the long run. This will be interesting to learn more about through trial and error.
