Too important to be sacrificed

This was weird. I was just trying to get rid of the corpse so it wouldn't spawn any more (not sure if that actually works but I try it anyway)

I know that message would appear if you tried to offer the encrypted scroll. And later I was able to sacrifice it on a different altar. Why wasn't it allowed here?

There hasn't been a capability to sacrifice corpses in forever. Why do you think constantly reanimating zombie torsos have been such a pain?

Can't you just polymorph it?

Oh, really? I could've sworn I was able to sacrifice it on a different altar though so I thought it was just a specific god. Maybe imagining things.

If you did manage to sacrifice it on a different altar, then that sounds like a newly introduced bug.
Or maybe it's something like a rotting corpse breaks the "too important to sacrifice" flag? Who knows!

speaking of bugs, i was in the catacombs and was able to take a pair of gloves without the warning or the town becoming hostile.

Was it in the Cellar, or deeper? You shouldn't be able to take anything from the Cellar, but deeper, you can take whatever you like.

No it was the cellar. All of the other chests/container gave me the warning, but 1 did not.
