Here's a list of cool things that are possible to do in Vanilla IVAN.
I haven't done all of them. I'd love to see screenshots or hear your accounts of attempts at the challenges.

1) Get 55 Int and 55 Wis from Sophos by praying for limbs. Hint - legs work best. Pimp your gear.

2) Become a champion of Cleptia and steal the Justifier with of whips of thievery.
Hint: throwing whips of thievery has a special advantage.

3) Kill Petrus with his own sword obtained in #2

4) Get an armless pet and some sulphuric acid and steal everything from the treasury and armory in the Cathedral.

5) Tame all the dwarves in the cathedral and all the dwarves you meet in the dungeons and bring them back to Attnam and start your coup d'état with a big bang.

6) For bonus points use your legless pet to kick land mines under Petrus and all the guards before starting #5

7) Open the meteoric steel chest by having angry Loricatus turn them into banana flesh and eating them. Great if they have wand of cloning. Alternatively use the chest for an Ommel cerumen cheat.

8) Get as many named baddies as possible in one screen shot

9) make kamikaze dwarf superbombers give them ridiculous amounts of explosives and wands. Wreak havoc in attnam and new attnam. Kill petrus with your pet.

10) Bring your pet enner beast to slaughter attnam. Hint piss him off immediately before he screams and makes everyone mad at you. Enner plus political immunity = peaceful massacre of attnam.

11) Train a hit squad of elite guards to take out and see how 1337 they can be. eg hit named baddies, elpuri, decos, Petrus. Its possible to get their arm strength over 80 fairly quickly.

12) do the same with Dark knights, mistresses

13) get Vladimir's HP high enough to take on elpuri one on one

14) get Valpurium sword and shield from Valpurus and arcanite plate mail from atavus.

15) get an army of floating eyes and kill named badies/decos/elpuri/petrus anyone you can while they sleep. I have not tried this one so no idea if it works.

16) dismember as many named baddies as possible with valpurium bear traps. bring them to one level for a screen shot

17) steal Sherarax's whips (I have done this one). Having her trapped helps immensely. Try a line of traps and you definitely want to be hasted and have high Agi.

18) beat Ischaldirh. Ressurect him in attnam.

19) mine UT4 crystals with a thunderhammer. get monsters to stand on crystals while you fight them.

20) make an army of mages and mystic frogs. Kick some asses. A key to bringing your armies to other levels is mining around the stairs.

21) Tame all of tameable Attnam. Start a revolution. Hint leave your guards outside of cathedral while the dwarves start the initial assault. Also hide your mystic frogs in the treasury or dwarf room.

22) tame petrus' wives then kill them in front of him.

23) tame equip and train petrus's wives and have them assassinate petrus after you soften him up for a bit. Probably best to leave them in GC1 while you clean house then bring them in for the kill.

24) bitch slap petrus with elpuri's head. post a screenshot

I'll think of more

25) Princess Bride "I am not left-handed win". Melee Petrus with 1-handed sword in your LH until your AOLS kicks in then switch to your Artificial limb RH for the kill.

26) Get Justifier but leave Petrus alive and not pissed off. Complete a non-Chaos win with Justifier. It takes creativity to think of how to do this. I have a way.

27) Raze the Cathedral with a hattifattener.

Yeah, there should be a style multiplier for the score. As I recall one of his wives was very bitter about all the other wives maybe it was #1? Armed with twin pussywhips +11..........

Batman?

how do #1 and #4 work?

There's no harm in using wizard mode to try the challenges out, if you don't have a character you can spare before you know it works.
#1:
Try it! But probably try it in 0.50.
SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
Ommel cerumen is a substance aligned to Sophos, so he can provide replacement limbs made of ommel cerumen, which you can detach with a bear trap and eat. At least in 0.50. CSV may have fixed that. I've never actually had a cerumen limb or even SoCMed something into cerumen.

#4:
Hint: Betray the pet. Try it! Two shields also works.
SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
The pet will kick you, and will incidentally kick items under you. If a bottle of acid is kicked into a wall and breaks, the acid will be desposited on the wall. Then items can be kicked through the gap.

You don't even need to have a pet or bottle of sulphuric acid. There's a much simpler way, in the same vein as the intended way.
Though I guess technically it wouldn't be beating the challenge if you don't follow the instructions to the letter.

SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
Just use a wand of acid rain on the wall. It doesn't make Attnam hostile. Then proceed to kick the items out as in the normal method.

Could you

use a dwarf to shatter some wands of teleport?

Golly, I didn't know it was that easy!

I can't remember how i did 26.

I've thought about 26 quite a bit. My best guess is:
SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
* a hostile genie in one of the houses
* a stack of valpurium/adamantine beartraps in the doorway, and the player floating above them
* both mystic frogs removed from town
You wait in the doorway until Petrus arrives, somehow not getting killed by the genie. Once he arrives, you move out of the way so that Petrus can step on the traps. You kill or teleport the genie so that it doesn't kill Petrus. Then hopefully he traps his arms trying to free his legs, and ends up severing them, and if you're lucky he doesn't get his head destroyed trying to free himself. Probably best to teleport him after he loses his arm. This probably needs a lot of experimentation to find the right number of traps.

Another way to do 26:
SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
Betray a pet, drop some whips of thievery on your square and get them kicked at Petrus.

Ischaldirh

JoKe: If you're going that route, why not simply SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
equip your pet with the whips in the first place?

Because you can't make a pet hostile to Petrus without making yourself hostile to Petrus.
Also, Petrus has
IsImmuneToWhipOfThievery = true;
in char.dat, so you could use this method (with any kind of whip) to remove his arms, but you'd still need a way to move the Justifier from under his feet.

Going off the assumption that we've removed Petrus' arms and thus dropped the justifier on the floor, the simplest way to get him out of the way would be to summon a hostile genie or resurrect and betray an Enner Beast or something that ends up accidentally kicking an item over his tile. Petrus will move out of the way to start fighting the genie/beast.

From there we need to figure out how to get the Justifier outside.
For this magic trick I have two ideas:

1. Use the tried-and-trusted betrayed-pet-kicking technique to gradually get the justifier outdoors. This could be made easier by acid-raining the nearby walls so it's a straight shot outside.
2. Have a friendly kamikaze dwarf equipped with a backpack of gunpowder and a wand of teleport. Betray him right next to the justifier and pray it gets teleported outside.

The exploding wand of teleport would work without needing to get Petrus to move. However, if the whip is kicked with enough to sever Petrus's arm, it (and the Justifier) may be moved to a different tile without any special treatment. I'm not sure a veteran guard would have enough leg strength to do that. I'll give this a try in wizmode.

Yeah, a veteran guard kicking a golden eagle feather whip of thievery at point blank range is not good enough to even hurt Petrus, let alone sever an arm.

added new challenge
how to get justifier without pissing petrus off #26

SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
kill petrus via pet dwarf/land mine method or enter method. stand on his chair while politically immune second pet kicks his belonging out of cathedral. His corpse is heavier so it won't go as far. Ressurect corpse with pet breaking wand of resurrection - never mind - forgot he just leaves a left nut won't work.

Hattifattener: haven't succeeded in doing this yet #27
SPOILER ALERT. Click here to see text.
save some polymorph charges to mutate and then tame hattifattener to get it to follow you back to attnam. Betray in cathedral and wait

Dark-Star2018

34. Charm every single non-immune person in Attnam and lead them to safety before betraying Petrus. Take over as new high priest with zero collateral damage and dispose of any corpses/body parts out in the wilderness before you sit on the throne.

I did this on vanilla back in 0.50 on my Windows 98se computer. Good times.
