Mini-chest rooms

I looked through the wiki, and couldn't find any information about the tiny sealed chest "rooms" that spawn in UT (and sometimes GC?). Mostly, I'm trying to remember what the guardian golem is made of so I can decide if I can take him or not...

As someone who has had horrible experiences with the chest room before, don't even try it. You're far from ready to face the golem.

Also, I think the material of said golem changes each playthrough or I'm just not sure what it's made of. One thing's for certain though, it's pretty powerful and will easily kill you if you're just getting out of UT. I say using anything ranged or a mine or two will easily help but might risk damaging the loot in the chest due to the blast radius. So I guess try and lure it to you and into a man made mine field to easily dispatch it.

Trust me, you do not wanna get into a one on one melee fight with it. Especially if you're just getting out of the UT

Current character is ~2 levels into GC actually, was debating cracking one open on my way back to NA for science talking purposes...

You mean there are natural mine fields? God damn, nature scary.

The UT chest room has a bamboo golem. He's dangerous, but has low HP.

I have always had it generated as Bamboo. It moves extremely fast and has killed me everytime.
