I want to go for the high priest ending, but never even seriously tried attacking Attnam. What should I know, what should I look out for and what should I do? The only team I have is an orc general + a couple of wolves. I have just about any item/scroll except for any kind of wish.

2 pics - one of my char, one of my wolfpack (I may overclock them a bit with large ommel bone chests, tell me whaddaya think)

Thanks in advance, guys!

A couple of wolves...

Also, I can't believe you used a scroll on your amulet of life saving XD

Aside from the obvious (those in the main chamber of the cathedral) you need to watch out for the smith. He is surprisingly formidable and what he lacks in equipment he'll make up in survivability. You could take him out first, then use the bottleneck of the cathedral to your advantage (don't take my word on this, I've never even gotten Elpuri's head back to Petrus, let alone kill him). You'll need some way to detect invisible units too.

Haha, that's a lot of wolves! They should at least eliminate the threat of farmers/hunters, hopefully the kamikaze dwarves too.

Petrus should be the only one who poses a real threat. The angels / some of the NPCs will be difficult but probably not too dangerous. I would recommend staying outside of the Cathedral, near the library. The mystic frogs will probably not bother you there.

I would recommend avoiding Petrus until you've finished most of the others off. That way at the end you have only him to deal with. Run away / teleport him / teleport yourself when necessary.

Then when it's just you vs. Petrus, leave some traps in his path and hopefully they'll hurt him. Also, drop shitty gear in his path and he might actually exchange it for his, I've seen him do that. Use as many strikes/fireballs against him as possible, and also make sure he's slowed and you're as fast as possible. Then just hit and run, if he hits you even once it will probably hurt a lot; at that point teleport away and don't take any risks. Also, now that the other enemies have been cleared, you should be able to telecontrol to an area where there are none around so that you can leave the city until you've healed, then return.

Lol it failed. I lost nearly all of my 500hp wolves, and a leg, and my boot, while fighting Inlux outside of the cathedral, so I teleported away and quickly cloned the boot xD. Then I thought "Hey, I forgot to mirror". So I mirrored myself, and 4 Shotgun Romeos killed Petrus. I made myself comfy around the cathedral chasing renegade angels when suddenly Inlux spotted me alone and started making trouble in my neighbourhood. My limbs were the nieigbourhood. Then my life was saved by the amulet, but then it was the same old game. And I lost the game >.<! It was a typically IVAN death. But it was epic, should've recorded the whole storming.

Things we've learned:
-If You have 5 lyres of charm and a friend in Dulcis, use it. I did, and tamed almost everything I could.
-Wolves on steroids are cool and take on angel. I could possibly wait for them to get hungry and make them 1k hp .
-Taming the mystic frogs and putting them into a locked building is good
-As is making forts from wands of door creation

Thanks guys, especially Capristo

I was killing Haedlac, my mirrors killed Petrus. And he got one of them by beheading

Inlux is tougher than Petrus in a way. Unblockable burn damage, doesn't set off traps, intrinsic life-save. Not to mention she doesn't grab bad gear.

when your hp is only 200 fighting inlux or petrus is a crap shoot - one lucky shot and its over. more hp would make your task much easier and all it takes is devotion to mellis and some empty cans.

thats realy cool that you amped up all those wolves. I've always wanted to destroy attnam that way but wolves with no armor don't last long. I thought it would be cool to collect a herd of mammoths and stampede the place flat too
